Yankees just picked up Andy Pettitte (again) recently and are sitting in 8th place with a 8-9 record in the Grapefruit League. He'll definitely add depth to our starting rotation and veteran leadership for the up and coming young pitchers (Dellin Betances and Manny Banuelos).

Cubs are picking up a lot of Minor League contracts. Some are big (like Anthony Rizzo) and others seem kind of random. We're not going to do well this year, but it looks like we're building for the future.

I have several teams.

Rangers- Acquired Yu Darvish and Joe Nathan, but is it enough to keep up with the likes of Yoenis Cespedes, Albert Pujols, and Hisashi Iwakuma?

Phillies- UGH INJURIES. Need I say more?

Nationals- Good young arms should be able to take Nats to Wild Card (or NL East if Phils' injury woes continue) title.

Astros- ...Right...

Sadly, the Mets are doing bad as always, but maybe there's still a chance (doubtful :( ).

I haven't really been following the Brewers yet this year, but I will definitely start come April 6th! :D

How do you feel that Braun doesn't have to miss 50 games brewers?

Pretty bad. Setback for Howard and doubtful for opening day for Utley. Still the NL East is pretty much locked up this year.

Paul: In addition to that you have Blanton in the rotation and the unreliable-in-non-save-situations Papelbon.

Papelbon is an upgrade from Madson. Just because he was a little shaky down the stretch doesn't mean he can be dominant again. And Blanton as a fifth starter isn't exactly the end of the world either.

Agreed, but we really need an extra IF bat (could see Callaspo, Izturis, Fontenot, DeWitt) because of all the injuries. The oldness and durability of the infield has me worried for this season, and I don't know that the pitching will be enough to win the division. I'm looking forward to seeing the young guys getting a chance in the bullpen (Schwimer, De Fratus, Diekman, Aumont, Savery) as well as how Pap and Vance do this season though. The more of our younger guys that do well give me more hope for the future because I don't have too much faith for next year.

Yeah, they have 4 aces and Blanton.
