That's what it does when the power's on, off, different inputs, everything.

Can't blame someone for not knowing how it's broken from the first picture, it looks like it's on an input where there's just a black screen, and the bright spot could easily have been the flash from a camera taking the picture.

I wasn't blaming him, per se. I just found the name of the thread self-explanatory enough for him to infer what the screen is doing, and that it is indeed broken. Maybe I could have elaborated a bit more in the first post.
