Who do you think should win the MVP this year? Okay I'm a super stat geek so I probably know who leads the league in a ton of stats that you've never even heard of. I personally think Jacoby Ellsbury should win the MVP, not because I'm a homer (I definitely am), but because he leads the league in WAR(wins above replacement) with 8.7. WAR calculates how many wins a player contributes over replacement level it combines WRAA, an offensive metric, UZR, a defensive metric, and a positional adjustment. For the NL I would go with Kemp for the same reason as Ellsbury Now that was who I think should win the MVP. Who Do YOU think should? |

Verlander and Kemp. Kemp, because he's had a very good year for a bad team, and Verlander, because, if he's not in the Tigers rotation, they wouldn't be where they were today. Also, Verlander is 2nd in WAR, with an 8.6 |

Verlander and Kemp. The Tigers are nothing without Justin and the last pitcher to win the MVP, Roger Clemens, wasn't a Triple Crown winner. Verlander, on the other hand, is almost guaranteed to be. |

I'm still not sure he is serious. N.L.: Kemp. If he gets even close to two triple crown titles he'sd got it. It's gonna hurt him becauuse the Dodgers stink. A.L.: Jacoby Ellsbury. If Red Sox miss out that would really hurt him. |
