Of course, if you don't live on the east coast, you can post about friends/family who were affected.

I currently have no power in my house. My laptop is running on battery and I'm...er-hem..."borrowing" the wi-fi from my neighbors.

Well, I had one power surge that shut my TV off and almost broke it, and it rained a lot and it was really windy. Nothing too bad.

No power outage luckily, though there were plenty of tornado warnings and the power went out a neighborhood or two over. Just a lot of rain, not as much wind as expected. It probably rained from the morning Saturday to like 6:00 something in the morning today.

My power is back! :D

It was out for a total of 11 hours

I didn't get much, thankfully.

Just some serious rain, and some heavy wind. A tree fell in my backyard, but it didn't break anything, so it wasn't too too bad.

I live in the state where it got a direct hit at its peak, NC, and the coast here doesn't look good. New Jersey looks worst though. Our neighbors Mom apparently went out in NYC during Irene to get Coffee from a 7/11  What? But we're good at my place, we're center of the state, so we just got some 20 mph wind gusts.

That's crazy, and idiotic. Why would you go out in the middle of a hurricane? Oi.

But it's good that you didn't get affected.

I'm glad to hear everyone there's safe.
I feel bad for people in Virginia though.

In South Jersey, at least where I live, we didn't get much. It was probably more the shore you were thinking of. As far as I know, they had it pretty bad there.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that one of the branches on the big tree we have in our front yard snapped off.

My power went out at 4:30pm Sunday, way after the hurricane hit. It turned on yesterday at 3:00pm. Some of my neighbors still don't have power though...

I want a hurricane this year. We'll do just about anything for a bit of rain...

No damage in Charlotte NC. Weekend was beautiful, a bit windy, but I could still mow the lawn.
