Yesterday, I went to a Rockland Boulders game. They are a local independent Minor League team and this is their first season. They won on a walkoff homer 5-4 and I had a good time. I was wondering if anyone else had a local minor league team?

I've been to a Paw Sox game, and a Sea Dogs game, both of which were awesome.

But around me we do have 2 teams, The Lowell Spinners, and the Brockton Rox.

I've been to a few Norfolk Tides games, but no Richmond games or anything... I'm hoping to catch an Albuquerque Isotopes game while I'm out there. Even though they're the Dodgers' affiliate. DX

We used to have an Indy team in my area, the Kalamazoo Kings, but they sadly had to suspend operations due to low attendance at the games.

I've been to four Paw Sox games and one Brockton Rox game. No Sea Dogs or Lowell games.

Living in North Carolina, we have more minor league teams than any other state :P . About 20 counting semi-pro teams. My hometown team, The Winston-Salem Dash (High-A, White Sox) got a new ballpark last year. We also have

-Greensboro Grasshoppers (Low-A, Marlins)
-Kannapolis Intimidators (Low-A, White Sox)
-Carolina Mudcats (AA, Reds)
-Durham Bulls (AAA, Rays)
-Charlotte Knights (even though they play in Rock Hill, SC  ) (AAA, White Sox)
-Kinston Indians (High-A, Indians)
-Hickory Crawdads (Low-A, Rangers)
-Asheville Tourists (Low-A, Rockies)
-Burlington Royals (Advanced Rookie, Royals)

That's the end of affilated teams. Now, here's some teams from Summer Wood Bat Leagues!

-Asheboro Copperheads (Coastal Plain League)
-Forest City Owls (Coastal Plain League)
-Outer Banks Daredevils (Coastal Plain League)
-Edenton Steamers (Coastal Plain League)
-Wilson Tobs (Coastal Plain League)
-Fayetteville Swampdogs (Coastal Plain League)
-Morehead City Marlins (Coastal Plain League)
-Willmington Sharks (Coastal Plain League)
-Gastonia Grizzlies (Coastal Plain League)
-Thomasville Hi-Toms (Coastal Plain League)

There are many more out there as well, but this is a "short" list of the teams in my state. I go and see the Dash often, and I've seen the Bulls many times with my Great Uncle. I want to see Bryce Harped when he comes to town to play the Grasshoppers next store.

A High-A league has a division with teams near the area I live in; It's called the California League. Their games are pretty much the only ones I attend, but next month, I'm going up north to see a Mariners game and a Rainiers (their AAA affiliate) game. Here's the other teams I watch, and their affiliates:

High Desert Mavericks (Mariners)
Inland Empire 66ers (Angels)
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Dodgers)
Lake Elsinore Storm (Padres)
Lancaster JetHawks (Astros)

For indy league teams, I like to see the Orange County Flyers.

Living here in the Tampa Bay area, there are several Advance Single A Florida State League teams:

Tampa Yankees
Dunedin Blue Jays
Clearwater Threshers (Phillies)
Lakeland Flying Tigers (Tigers)
Bradenton Marauders (Pirates)

One of the reasons I became a Yankees fan was because of the Tampa Yankees (09-10 Back to Back Champions, baby!!). We just had the All Star game recently and it was so much fun. I enjoyed going to Rays games, but the atmosphere for these games (while smaller than most leagues at times), it's just something about it.

When I used to go to college in Pensacola, FL, we had the Pensacola Pelicans of the American Association (independent). I went to one or two of their games, especially one for the free beach towel give-away. I only passed by the Mobile Baybears and saw the Montgomery Biscuits' stadiums from the outside. Hoping to go back when Pensacola gets their new Cincinnati Reds' AA affiliate, the Blue Wahoos.

I've been to a LaCrosse Loggers game, but I don't think they are Minor League, just Independent.
