I thought there would be more discussion about this game on these forums... Anyway I have a question if anybody else out there is playing this game.

Can you turn off the pitching cursor when batting against the CPU in Season Mode? It's too easy to hit, even if they move the cursor all around before the pitch comes in. I want to turn it off, but I can't find the setting in my season.

There is an option to turn the pitching cursor off, but it just turns it off when I am pitching. It's still there when I come up to bat.

Sorry... I don't have the game, so I can't help.

But, anyways, how is it? Any good?

Is it like Power Pros? Is there something like Success Mode in there?

Wow, this is the biggest ripoff ever. The control scheme and graphics seem familiar

Thank goodness I have a PS3, because I'd much rather buy Jikkyou PP 2011 than this.

It says it's a successor to Power Pros...BUT IT AIN'T POWER PROS!

How complicated (if at all possible) is it to play Jikkyou PP 2011 on an American PS3?

This actualy looks like something I would buy. The bobblehead bouncing when he pitches is REALLY annoying though.

Whoo!

Not complicated at all, there isn't a region-lock on PS3's so no modding is needed.

And also it isn't hard to understand either. I have 3 Japanese Power Pros games, and I can play (and play well) them all without a problem.
/shameless plug: I made a video series on the 2010 Success Mode, if you want to watch it, the link is in my signature.

WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST MAKE A NEW POWER PROS! WHAT THE HECK! I might consider buying this if it wasn't such a ripoff. I'm never buying another cartoon baseball game again for myself.

Hmm might have to check this one. Just to see if it has the depth as power pro, can the guy that has the game give some details on the game please?

I don't think anyone here has it, but from the reviews and articles about the game I've read, (there aren't many) there's no season or success, just exhibition.

Did you read the first post?

And I would only infer that he has the game is he is talking about it.
Sorry to sound rude.
But I dislike when people don't pay attention

The game does have Season Mode, but no Success mode. For some reason, the "edit player" option is locked, and the Mets are missing K-Rod. Overall, I think it is disappointing for diehard fans of the series. I can't find an option for advanced pitching, and without being able to edit players, I don't know if they have special abilities. It does have good stat tracking in Season mode and the gamplay is true to the PP style. I think it's worth the 10 bucks if you want to play online, but overall there's just not enough there.

I haven't played it very much, but I'll answer any questions if anyone is thinking about buying it.
