Hey. I'm Leo Hayward. My agent told me I should start a blog, since I'm getting more national attention. So I though sure, what the heck? I guess you all know about me, if you read the top of the page. I'm getting ready for my next game, at home vs. the Timberwolves. Even though these guys aren't a very good team, they've been giving us some problems this year. I'm hoping to get the win so we can get ahead of the Lakers. This is what its all about! Playing for a playoff spot! I'm so pumped. The rest of our schedule doesn't look too bad, and they're all teams we've beaten before. We're 2-0 against the Lakers so far too, so if we tie, we're the #1 seed. We play them as our 3rd to last game, in LA. I guess that's all for this post, hope you come check out the game! I put the rest of our schedule down below, so you can check that out. 3/25 vs Minnesota - 7:00p.m. 3/27 vs Portland - 7:00p.m. 3/29 vs Golden State - 7:00p.m. 3/30 at Phoenix - 9:00p.m. 4/1 at Portland - 9:00p.m. 4/2 at LA Clippers - 9:30p.m. 4/5 at Denver - 8:00p.m. 4/6 vs LA Clippers - 7:00p.m. 4/8 vs Denver - 7:00p.m. 4/10 at LA Lakers - 8:30p.m. 4/11 at Sacramento - 9:00p.m. 4/13 vs Milwaukee - 7:00p.m. I can only play on Sundays, since its Lent, and I gave up video games for Lent. So it might be a little wait for some game updates. Hope you guys enjoy, though! |

I won't be able to post until late Sunday night, if I get to play at all, because this weekend is turkey hunting. Sorry for the long wait, and inactivity, but it will pick up after Easter. |

Hey, how's everyone doing? Just got back from the game against the Timberwolves. We killed them! I did some extra shooting drills before the game, so maybe that helped. I wasn't doing too good in the first half, and I didn't have any assists. I hate it when I don't get assists, because it makes me look like a ball-hog. At the end of the 3rd quarter, we went on a huge 13-5 run. I had a 3 pointer, and an awesome dunk over Kevin Love. I wish I had a video to post, but it should be on SportsCenter. Anyway, the final was 62-42. I ended up with 23 points, 1 assist, and I shot 60% from behind the 3 point line. I was nominated as Player of the Game, and in the highlight reel on the JumboTron, they didn't have my Kevin Love dunk! I was mad. But to cheer me up, I learned we officially clinched a play-off spot! After the game, a reporter asked me if we could let off the gas now. No! We have to play harder, so we're hot, and so we don't get used to playing half-speed. And a #1 seed would be a lot better than a #8 seed. We are now 0.5 a game ahead of the Lakers. I also increased my overall to 61. I'll post a play-off picture below later on. Hope you guys catch our next game, at home vs. Portland. See ya! |

Hey, it's me again. We played the Trail Blazers and the Warriors since I last updated, so I'll start off with the Blazers. I had about 6 points, early in the 1st quarter, and I drove into the lane for a lay-up. I landed funny on my knee, and couldn't play the rest of the game. It felt fine the next morning, so I was pretty mad I couldn't play against our rival. We won by 3 though, 42-39. Like I said, I was fine the next day, so I could play against the Warriors. We beat them too, 50-35. I got Player of the Game, with 28 points, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. That pulled us to 1 game ahead of the Lakers. Not a big lead, but I'm confident. Only 4 of our next 9 games are against play-off teams, including the Lakers. I'll edit the play-off picture too. So, see ya next time! |

Hi, it's me again! I'm in the hotel after today's game against the Blazers, so I'll update you on the last 2 games, against the Suns and Blazers. We beat the Suns in Phoenix, 56-49. We played pretty good, and it seemed like we blew them out, but they some how only lost by 7. I ended up with 23 points, 3 blocks ![]() |

Leo Hayward, reporting for duty. We finally got back to Oklahoma City today, after a 4 game road trip to the West Coast. Our last 2 games were in L.A., vs. the Clippers, and in Denver against the Nuggets. The game against the Clippers was a close win, 54-51. I got put on the bench for a rest at the beginning of the 4th quarter, along with most of our other starters. Our bench players did good, and we were only down by 2 when I came in with 2:30 left. I ended up having 8 points in the clutch, after I got put in, including 4 free throws. My stats were 30 points, 1 assist, and 2 blocks. Then, we traveled to Denver, and won 58-46. I didn't have any assists until the 3rd quarter, when I passed it to Kevin Durant when he was cutting to the hoop, and he dunked it. Then, the next time down, Kevin passed me the ball, and I started to dribble to the hoop. He ran to the hoop, and I threw him a sweet alley-oop pass. I ended up with 25 points, 3 assists, and 1 rebound. After the game I was informed by some reporter that it was my 50th straight game that I had double digits. That's pretty cool. We've only got 5 games left, and our next 2 are against the Clippers and Nuggets. Again. I think they have to schedule our games better. Then, its the Lakers! We're still 3 games ahead, so we're looking pretty good. The playoff race is heating up for those lower seeds, 3 and down in the West, and 2 and down on the East. I'll update the playoff picture so you guys can take a look for yourselves. Well, talk to ya next time! |

Guess who the #1 seed in the West is! That's right! The Oklahoma City Thunder! We beat the Nuggets, and the Lakers lost, so we're #1! I'm excited. We play the Lakers tomorrow too, so they might be upset. ![]() |

As you can see, this is going to pick up now that I can play video games. Thanks to the 1 voter other than me that voted, but, we were both wrong. Leo is also up to a 63 overall. |

Should I stop this after the year ends, or should I continue into next year, and just not be as specific, and not post as often, or keep it the same? Any feedback is good feedback. ![]() |
