Ok, people, after hearing some chatting about Backyard Sports and seeing some non- MLBPP logs, I was inspired to do a Backyard log. This is Backyard Baseball 2003, so most of these guys are retired. Bear with me on this. _______________________________________________________________________________ Manager Redsfan tightened his clip-on tie, and made his way to the local softball field where his teams were drafted. First, the managers chose team names and colors. Redsfan chose the Green Melonheads, and the colors Red and Green. Then, they chose parks. He called dibs on Scrapco Field, a junkyard stadium only 5 minutes from his house. Then, the draft started. He stared at the rows of kids on the bleachers. Who would he choose? UPDATE L8TER 2DAY! |

Not completely on topic, but this makes me think of doing a Backyard Basketball 2004 log. Although it is quite boring after a little while to win 100-10 every time. Would it be better to create characters and make up personalities or use characters I know nothing about? I would make an on-topic part of the post down here, but I don't have enough information to do so. |

If you do Hard difficulty, (ERRORS OFF!) and no Pitch locator, and you don't completely fill your team with Pablos and Randy Johnsons, you can lower scores. |

If you're doing a 2003 log and cooldude does a 2004 log, I'm gonna do a 2005 log. ![]() |

Also, as I feel there is some confusion, I feel like I should restate that I have Backyard Basketball 2004, I've never had any of the baseball ones. Pretty sure there hasn't even been any basketball logs on this forum before. |

AL CENTRAL OPENER! Melonheads 1 4 0 Royals 0 3 0 at: Eckman Acres Dubois Pitches Gem! It was a pitcher's duel right from the start. Lefty pitch Marky Dubois really got a rythm going with his left hook and stayed with it all night. Butch Sherrod was no slouch either picking up a respectable 5 Ks in 6 innings work. The Melons struck 1st with a Piazza RBI double and kept the lead for a nailbiting win. Stats WP: Dubois LP: Sherrod Melonheads: R.Johnson 1-2 Ichiro 1-2 P.Sanchez 0-3 P.Wheeler: 1-3 M.Piazza: 1-2 RBI E.Steele: 0-2 D. Petrovich: 0-2 S.Morgan: 0-2 M.Dubois: 0-2 Next game: White Sox at Melonheads |

Quote: Marky: Ah'm happier than a gopher in soft dirt ta be here. Quote: Sunny Day: Why did you throw 75% sliders? Why not mix it up a bit? Quote: Marky: Mike Piazza saw that mah slider was lightin' those batters up like a candle! He just kept callin' it, even after the double hit off the top of the center field wall in the 6th. Quote: Vinny the Gooch: So, Marky, might we see a relief appearance tomorrow? Quote: Marky: Anything to win our games. Sunny Day: Now to Barry Dejay for the basketball news |

They actually changed Vinny to Abner Dubbleplay in 2005. Abner is... weird. |
