This is for if you get a really good or really bad game.
MADDEN 11 Wii
I think this was a really good game, but sadly, I was expecting a little more. The game is very similar to last year's Wii version except for a few minor details. For one, the Franchise is over hyped, big time. The city overview is really just a menu change. They need to pay less attention to menus, and more attention to bringing back things like the radio show from GameCube. I also want to see them use their ESPN liscense. I think ESPN NFL 2k4 was the best sports game of ALL-TIME, mainly because of all the ESPN integration such as watching Sports Center at halftime, and on Sunday afternoon.
My take:
Presentation: 8.5 Slick menus, but I need my ESPN.
Graphics: 9.0 I actually like the cartoony graphics, it's a matter of taste.
Sound: 6.5 Soundtrack is good, but commentary is GOD-AWFUL.
Gameplay: 7.0 Pretty good, but has some hiccups.
Replay Value: 6.0 What happened to the modes other than Franchise?
Overall: 7.5

Preview: Planning on getting my hands on a copy of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future at some point. A game all true gentleman are sure to enjoy!

Is it as... interesting as Jack Merluzzi?

OK, nothing as bad as the time he said I won the playoffs at the end of a Spring Training game.
Bad Commentary:
On a 10 yard loss: When you complete passes, your QB gets a confidence boost.
2nd and 11: WOW! They've got a long way to go!

The commentary isn't that bad. It's repetitive, but he has never said something that didn't make sense.

I just hate those "confidence boosting" 10-yard loss pass completions.

I'd say the soundtrack is weaker than years past, for sure. I didn't like all the rap, but I loved a lot of the up-and-coming artists they had.
All there is on this year's version is Song 2, Machinehead, Thunderstruck and Tick Tick Boom.

NHL 11 (PS3, Xbox 360)
Gameplay: 9.0 Gameplay is intense, no two hits are never alike.
Game Modes: 9.5 Hockey Ultimate Team is addicting, EASHL mode , Be a GM, and Be a Pro are all fun
Soundtrack: 9.0 Classic rock and stadium music make the hockey atmosphere so much better
Graphics: 8.5 Depending on what camera angle you use, graphics are better/worse.
Overall: 9.5 If you are interested in Hockey or learning about it, this game will help you learn about the game, penalties, stratigies and more.

FIFA 08 PS2
Presentation: 8.0 Slick menus, but nothing incredible
Graphics: 9.9 Decent for any other system, but mindblowing on PS2
Sound: 10.0 Soundtrack is just incredible, stadium sounds are mindblowing.
Gameplay: 10.0 Simple but genius controls that make games a challenge.
Replay: 9.5 Just a Manager Mode, but it's deep enough to hook you.
Overall: 9.9 Add one more mode, and I'll give you the extra point. The sountrack alone moves it from 8.9 to 9.9.

Well, since this is the last game I've gotten in like the past year...
MegaMan 10
Presentation: 7 Really nothing special in this department, but still enough for a 7.
Graphics: 7.5 Well, they went with a classic 8-bit style here, so you can't really say it's bad, but sometimes things look a bit ugly because the sprites can't show enough detail.
Sound: 10 HECK. YES. The whole series is known for its epic music and this is no exception. Nitro Man and Sheep Man (yeah, there's a boss named Sheep Man  ) have 2 of the best themes.
Gameplay: 9 It's really fun, but since I lost my classic controller, I can have trouble with accidentally pushing the wrong button at times.
Replay: 8.5 2 playable characters, 3 difficulty levels, and Time Attack mode will keep you busy. For an extra $8, you'll get a 3rd character, 3 special stages, and Endless Attack mode for more hours of enjoyment.
Overall: 8.5 A fun game with a couple bad points, but not many. I'm not quite willing to buy the extra stuff yet, but maybe later. That might affect the score if I do.

Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box
Presentation: 10.0 I animation and opening sequence
Graphics: 10.0 Simply mindblowing......
Sound: 9.5 Great background music, that really sets the mood.
Gameplay: 8.0 Really just a point and click, but good.
Replay: 7.5 Will keep you busy, but once you beat it, there's no reason to pick it up.
Overall: 9.0 One of my personal faves.

I personally found the first story more interesting, and am planning on picking up the third game sometime this week, or next! :D

And thanks for the highfive! :D

Gameplay: 4-7 The gameplay is incredibly streaky, your play has almost no influence on the end result of any given game. The bottom line is, if they don't want you to score, you won't, if they want to score, they will. They can cleanly intercept passes too hard for your player to handle if it got through.

Game Modes: 7 They're all right, HUT is really tacked on. For some reason after you start, there's no way to edit anything about your Pro in Be a Pro mode, I'm sure not every Hockey Player is forced to be #11 their whole career.

Soundtrack: 2 This soundtrack probably could not be more repetitive, there's a very limited amount of songs to begin with. When you throw in the fact that the songs repeat themselves about a hundred times each, you get sick of them on the first day. And soundtrack is kind of important when you have loading screens that last 2 minutes. It seems they even went out of their way to get a couple decent songs, but a bad version of one, and pointless censoring in the other (They censor the word "shoot", honestly, this is a hockey game. After a goal I never hear "Oh what a ____, scores!")

Graphics: 8 This is just about the only thing this game does ok, but the graphics still really aren't that good. Along with that, you will see pucks going through people sometimes, and sticks going through people thousands of times.

Overall: 5 At it's best, this game can get up to 7, but it's rarely at it's best.
