I was just thinking, and since I really love music, I was going to make a topic ABOUT music! The point of this topic is to post what bands youve been listening to at the time, or any you've stumbled across that are great. So, there you have it! My favorite band is Daft Punk. :D

:woot: Daft Punk FTW!

But anyways, I also like Daft Punk, a LOT.
And someone else to check out is Julian Casablancas, here's one of his songs (my favorite): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zyQbnCYyWc&annotation_id=annotation_957223&feature=iv

OH, an also Julian Casablancas used to/still is part of the band The Strokes, he's the lead singer.

Well... Rush, obviously.

2112 (My all-time favorite song, by far, nothing compares closely to this song):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkSbncZy ... re=related

(The videos are very badly divided, but I can't find it in one video, I'd strongly suggest downloading it from somewhere)

La Villa Strangiatio (1979 at Pinkpop, the video has an introduction, skip to around 0:22 to pass it, I still watch it, I first saw it in the extra features of the "Beyond The Lighted Stage" Rush documentary, which I would recommend, but only after you've listened to enough of their songs to appreciate it. Anyway, about the song itself, amazing guitar buildup from 0:47 to 2:30, an unforgettable tune, which I recognize from something else, but I don't know what):

Tom Sawyer (The first of their songs I listened to, I liked it enough to go looking for tons of their other songs):

Countdown (I love the keyboard solos in it):

This post will be updated with more ridiculously awesome songs.

As for non-rush... Not much, CollegeHumor parodies and stuff are usually pretty good.

You, sir, get 5 cool points for knowing Live. ;)
Lightning Crashes is still my favorite song of theirs though...

My favorite song at the moment has got to be this one, however:

But yeah, I'm obsessed with music. All rock, though I'll listen to just about any kind. Punk, alternative, classic, and indie for sure. I've downloaded something like 700-750 songs this summer, and most of that is new discoveries of groups... if ya want to find a new rock group to listen to, ask me ;)

I feel the exact same way. I've downloaded the same number of songs over the summer as well. :DD Sadly enough, I kind of wore out "Lightning Crashes." I got the album a couple days ago. :DD

You got nuthin' on me, bub
*has heard of both those groups* ;)

I need to download that album... too busy with random other stuff.
Anyways, this actually sorta reminds me of Lightning Crashes a tiny bit, just the beat and all... but it's awesome in its own right:

Bet you've never heard of THAT group ;)
