Does anybody on this site hunt?? I was just wondering. I live in Wisconsin so I hunt deer and turkey, and I fish a bit.

Nope. I'm more of an environmental, pro-animal activist. I couldn't bear to kill anything. I've even gone vegetarian at times (but not long - bacon is too good).

I understand some hunting is recreational, and even necessary for population control, but I don't have any love for it. Much better ways to focus time and energy IMO.

I fish when my family goes on vacation sometimes, but I don't hunt. I know some serious hunters around where I live though.

No, I'm not lucky or rich enough to have the chance to do either of these things.

What do you mean lucky enough?? And used guns aren't terribly expensive.

I went fishing once and cast the line so far out that I lost the thing that floats in the water...Don't know what it's called though...

The bobber?? You dont need one though. I like fishing without a bobber better.

Very hard to get a licence to own a weapon that can shoot animals or you can go hunting with down here......

Ohhhh..... Could you try to shoot some kangaroos??

Well yes and no. To be able to shoot them you would have to either be a farmer or if you are a ranger (culling the numbers as numbers of these in certain areas borders on plague proportions). It is not looked on in a favourable light shooting kangaroos down here with animal activists and also the fact that the animal is our national animal. Plus it is much easier to get a gun licence elsewhere than Australia

I've gone fishing, once. Did pretty good, but none of the fish were over the size minimum :| I don't see reason to, because I really don't like to eat fish.

We don't hunt down here in "The Cheesiest Corner Of The World," Long Island, New York, but a couple of my friends who have family upstate love hunting. I hear it's really easy to get hold of a hunting license upstate.

I don't like fish, but everyone else in my family loves it. One time I caught a catfish, and everyone was like ohmygosh YUM! But I didn't like it so they all thought I was crazy.

Not me. I don't think I could stand killing an animal myself, but I love eating them. :D
