I was thinking about getting this game but is it like the super smash bros game for gamecube or better? Is there any new characters? Any new stadiums or is it all the same? I liked the first game but i dont want to buy this game if its the same.

A ton of new characters, but a decent amount of seem to be "clones" of old-characters. The stages are vastly different, though.

Well...to be honest I don't like brawl...the graphics seem to be more dull than melee.
Also it seems like a rehash of melee except for weird controls...

6/10 or 7/10
Melee was a 9/10 for me.

Yea melee was fun but still unsure about brawl because i dont want to spend $50 when the controls are hard and characters are kinda the same.

The controls seem the same to me. I like Brawl more, as it fits my style with the adjustable levels. For Melee, I could never beat the later event matches, but in Brawl, I can. The Subspace Emissary was great, while it lasted. Would be much more fun if the Wii was more popular among teens, instead of the XBox360, which everyone else has instead.

8/10.

Yea i couldn't beat the later event matches in melee. Still need some more opinions tho before i make my decision.

I like being able to create your own stages. Probably an 8/10 for me. Could be 8.5 but Roy isn't in it.

Melee better than Brawl? LOL.

There are four different compatible controllers... so controls shouldn't even come up as an issue for this game. It really depends on how you'd react to the gameplay. It's best for playing with some buddies. But yeah, I don't see how you can go wrong buying the most complete game for the Wii.

On the other games, Rampage is just a beat 'em up kinda game. Only person I know that has it got bored pretty quick. He did mention it was fun though... weird. I wouldn't touch that one. Boom Blox is a big question mark.

What kind of games are you normally into?

Well we all know the best sports game for the Wii... :)

For action... Resident Evil 4 would be the first choice. The problem there is, some people just can't play it. It's too scary. No joke. Others that come to mind are No More Heroes and Okami but I haven't finished those. I was going to throw in Super Mario Galaxy too but that's more of an adventure game.

It's a fun and a good game overall. I was a bit disappointed because they changed the tracks into ones I didn't like and ruined battle mode. On the plus side the game added the Wii Wheel (really fun to use... but totally unneccessary), Miis, motorbikes, tricks, and some weird license thing that pretty much shows everyone how good you are. The best part about this game is the multiplayer.

I was hoping they would have done something like they did with Smash Bros. Brawl... Add everything they can to it. Like all the courses of the previous games, all the characters, and a bunch of new stuff. Oh well...
