Had to buy some new flip-flops today, so I went to a sporting goods store.
And ended up with a pair of adidas, Brazil colored sandals!

adidas = the best.

USA! USA! USA!

I just can't bring myself to cheer for the U.S.

1. We don't even call it the right name.
2. We suck.
3. We have sucked.
4. We always will suck.
5. We're already good enough at other sports.
6. Brazil is awesome, and so is Ecuador.

Usa isnt that awful but not likely to go past the second round in my opinion. If mexico can get out of their group then they can possibly reach quater-finals. I think England and Netherlands can go far. Brazil and Spain in the final.

Go USA and Serbia! Why Serbia? Because I have a friend that's from Serbia!

I don't care and don't watch until the final match, but if USA was in the finals, I would root for them.

I'll probably watch because its different. I'll root for Nigeria

lol now that you mention it, I am kind of rooting for South Africa. Whenever it is the world cup, olympics, etc. I always kind of feel like the host country deserves to win. But the real reason I want South Africa to win is because some genius decided to have Morgan Freeman do the commercials. Morgan Freeman is awesome.

The USA will make it out of our group, but they probably won't do anything after that.

South Africa should do well. Nelson Mendela and Morgan Freeman are awesome.


I said Spain-Netherlands and had Spain winning personally.

England will win it all. They have a high-talent team and spirit for a win. That's a great asset in the world cup.

In other news: Nelson Mandela's great granddaughter died in a one car crash coming back from the Kickoff Concert last night. She was just 13 years old.

3 games today. The two matches from group B and the England vs USA from group C.

I was hugely disappointed by England, but if USA plays like this, they won't make it out of their group. Their defensive strategy is horrible and will not work if they keep holding on the the ball and not apply any sort of pressure to their opponent. Their goal was PURE luck today and England should have came out with all 3 points. England will not make it far and will be knocked out in the quarter finals like always. Argentina has a really good draw and all they face is Germany (whom they beat in 06), England and France. Argentina is going to have an EASY walk into the finals.

The 2nd half of the draw is more difficult to navigate through. Brazil and Portugal are in the same group and I see Brazil taking all 9 points because of a better all around game. Spain will easily win their group and beat Portugal. The interesting match-up is Spain and Brazil mainly because they are the two powerhouses in the league. I see Holland playing Italy in the quarters and the winner, probably Italy, play Spain in the Semi's. The final will be Argentina and Spain and I see Spain coming out mainly because their squad purely better in terms of every aspect of the game with the top GK in the world and one of the best Forwards in Torres and a very creative midfield and whose defense is rock solid.
