Hey, I know I haven't been around a lot to chat Power Pros with you all, to be honest I've been super busy with college and work, and my hobbies. I can't exactly show you by college work without boring you to death, and work is, well, work, so I will instead introduce you to one of my projects I've been working on.

It's a Java-based First Person Shooter based on the Quake II engine and the Action Quake modification. The only requirements you need is to have a computer that is reasonably fast (1GHz or better), some hard drive space (150MB) and the latest version of Java installed. You head over to Action Quake Online, read the How to Play if you wish, and then click Play Now to join in. The gametypes that are available are explained in the How to Play document.

If anyone is interested, I'll be in the All Weapon Deathmatch server if you want to join in.

Edit: One issue: The game will crash the first time it's opened... that's okay, just wait a moment and click on All Weapon Deathmatch, or whatever mode you chose before, and the game will operate normally.

Hmm I don't recall the servers ever going down. Picking a server from http://www.actionquakeonline.com should work fine

It still doesn't work. Do I need an account?

Nope, you don't need an account. Did you download the game data, then click on the gametype you wanted to play?

There's no viruses or anything among it; if your antivirus is telling you so, it's a false positive. It contains no adware, just simple Java
