Hey, I just thought of a way to clean up the board. Instead of making threads for video games like MW2, Assassin's Creed 2, iRacing, etc like we have had in the past, let's make this the official thread for discussion about non baseball related video games. If the discussion on a particular game gets to be very large then we can make a new thread for that game but for now this is where we can talk about other video games that aren't Power Pros.

Since a lot of you guys have Wiis, did you hear that a new Super Mario Galaxy 2 is coming out in May? It sounds awesome.

It does sound cool, I didn't get the original, since it seemed a little complicated.

Just forget it guys giving people like him attention is just what they want. Don't even mention it again, I really don't care.

Anyway, the original Super Mario Galaxy is not complicated. It is just like Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Sunshine in that it is a third person adventure game and you have to collect 120 stars. It is very fun, some people say it is the best Wii game ever. If you have a Wii and are even a tiny fan of Mario then this is a game that you really should play. I heard the sequel is going to be even better, but seriously, if you have a Wii and haven't played Super Mario Galaxy then you are missing out on a lot.

I played Super Mario Galaxy. I only made it through maybe 20% of the game, but yah it was fun, interesting. Simplistic in some ways, but challenging, scary and fun in others. Like most Wii games, its better in a group - when my GF was watching it was a lot cooler. Playing alone was not as fulfilling.

Some of the goofier games, like Mario, Rayman Raving Rabbids (first one), and Wii Play and Fit can be tons of fun, especially in an open group. Alone they arent much fun. Even MLB PP has these funky anime face graphics. much of the Wii game base is skewed towards kids, groups, or families, which is fine. I don't need the bloodbath shooters anymore, too old for that.

How do you play Mario Galaxy with other people? To me that was one of the few Wii games that are good for single players who like in depth adventure games. The only other really great ones I've played were Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 3. I have also heard Okami is really good but I've never played it.

I also have an xbox 360 which has some really good looking games like Darksiders, Dante's Inferno, Bayonetta, Brutal Legend, Mass Effect 2, and BioShock, but they are all rated M so it will take some work on my parents if I want to buy them. However I just got xbox live and I figured out how to buy games on demand and download them to my console, if I can figure that out fully and utilize it then I will get whatever games I want. And if that doesn't work, I can always just play the demos, my parents probably wouldn't mind that.

Also, I'm hoping to get SM64 on the virtual Console, at least when I get a Wii Points card.

Oh yeah I forgot about Wii Virtual Console. There are some good games on there like Super Mario 64 and LoZ: Ocarina of Time that I might try out. They are cheaper than playing new games anyway.
