The Firing of Mng. Smith

Associated Press

The Las Vegas Sharks were hitting rock bottom. After 6 seasons and a 1-12 record, Owner/GM LM117 has fired manager Doug "Aero" Smith from his position. The GM had this to say on the subject
LM117 wrote:
He just couldn't fire up the players enough. We needed somebody to get us a nice start and all he leaves us with is what, one win? I needed to make a move quick and am therefore formally announcing that Doug Smithis no longer the manager of the Las Vegas Sharks.

LM117 also announced that he had comtiplated chaging the name of the team for the new season. Here were some of his ideas:

-ThunderSharks
-Sharpedos
-Piranas

But then he realized that they were all based off Sharks so he decided against it. HE expects to annouce the new coaching staff in the near future.

I don't like Piranas. I don't know why but it just sounds like a wierd word. I think Sharpedo is a pokemon. I like Thunder Sharks though (it is better like Thunder Sharks than like ThunderSharks).

Fair Warning, this gives a ton of background on all the coaches, all of which made it to the show at some point in their carrers. All had a tragic end to their carrers. This will be the basis of the "Behind the Scenes" that will happen later. VERY IMPORTANT POST!!!

Background on the 1921 LVS Coaching Staff

Jimmy Marlin (Sharks Beat Writer, Las Vegas Tribune)

Today, Owner/GM of the Las Vegas Sharks LM117 unviled the new coching staff for 1921. You, probobly like me, have been wondering, "Who Are These Guys?" After doing a little reaserch myself, all had been in the majors at one point. All had short carrers. Here they are.

-Aaron "Smoosh" Smith: He is in no relation to ex-manager Doug Smith, Called "Smoosh" for his ladies man additude with the Durham Bulls in AAA. In majors with White Sox from 1990-1993. Ace Reliver, Runner Up in Cy Young in 1993. Ended carrer due to health issues.
-Cory Linececum: Is not realted to star pitcher Tim Lincecum. Starter for the Philles 1990-1992, RPOY 1990, 3rd Place Cy Young 1991, Ended carrer in Rehab for Alcholic Problems, 2nd Place LLWS 1980 with Long Beach
-Scott Hamp: 1b Indians 1990-1994, 100 HRs in carrer, Retired due to strike and alleged steriod abuse, 3rd Place LLWS 1980 with Austrailia
-Scott Eagle: All-Star 2b with Red Sox 1990-1995, ROY 1990, HTROTY2B 1990-1995, Married to Emma, Emma was murdered by an astragned (and drunk) fan after Eagle went 4-4 2HRs 7RBIs against Reds, Retired due to grief and pain, Has now 16 year old son Daniel
-Ivan McLeary: Closer for Mets 1990-1993, Retired due to Age at 40, Was attmpted to be assignated by a rival pitcher in the organization right when he was about to make the MLB in 1975, Severly Hurt non throwing arm in attmpt, Rehaped until coming back in the minors in 1985,

As you can see, they all had troubled lives. All are now fine and hope to lead to Sharks to the Park playoffs by 1934.

REAL WORLD: Dec. 30th 2009, SIMYARD WORLD: Winter Ball

Sharks Set Goals for 2010

Jimmy Marlin (Sharks Beat Writer, Las Vegas Tribune)

Yesterday, Owner/GM LM117 set 5 goals to meet by the same time next year, which would be the 1934 swason in Simyard. Here are his goals
-Make the Park Playoffs
-Own a Permit
-Have Defeated Every PPworld Team At Least Once
-Have A Winning Record Lifetime for the Sharks
-Win a PPworld Simyard Tournment

When asked if the Club could make such steep goals happen, the GM said this
LM117 wrote:
I have confidence in them. But I don't excpect ALL these goals to be met. If we meet two out of the five, I will consider this revamping a success. 3 out of 5? Above and Beyond. 4 out of 5? Well, a mircale if you will. 5 out of 5? I might die if that happened. 1 out of 5 would be dissapointing and achiving none of these goals would make an epic fail and cause me to sell the team and retire from Simyard.

You heard it here folks! The coaching staff has some serious work to do! Season Goals next!

Ok, so far all I've done is Newspaper articles. While that is good, I planning some more stuff in the future, so instead of an article stating my goals, I will just come out and say it.

1. Double Digit Wins
2. Average 3 games played per day
3. 100 games played overal
4. Get a Claim Number

(Speical Thanks to M_a_L for the eye opener that inspired these goals)

Nevermind.

Anyway, I hope you do well. Sorry if you got ticked off, but I'm trying to make a point here as people always assume that to be good, you need a permit.
