Do you guys still celebrate Halloween? I took a 2 year break but got really annoyed when I had pass out candy and some kids didn't even dress up and expected me to give them candy. So this year I am going as Buckethead. What about you guys? |

What about you guys? Kids who don't dress up, are too old to be trick-or-treating, or ring my doorbell after 10 p.m. get nothing from me. |

I never really think you are too old for Halloween. It is supposed to be fun, everyone could use a little fun. It makes me mad though when people don't dress up but go trick-or-treating anyway. The point is to dress up! Actually it would be pretty creepy if a grown man came to my house and asked for candy but I still thinks adults should celebrate Halloween, just not trick or treat. |

I'm not sure what to do this year, I could go over to someone else's house and lay on the steps with fake blood everywhere. But I also got the idea to dress up as a scarecrow (or some other none moving, human shaped object), pretend nobody's home, have a bucket full of candy on my arm with a sign saying to take only one. And if they take more, jump up and chase them. |

You know those stuffed men that people make and leave sitting on a chair or bench by the front door? They sew a flannel shirt on a pair of jeans, make a creepy looking head out of pantyhose, and stuff the whole thing with newspaper or cotton, maybe add blood and a chainsaw for effect. Anyhow, I dressed up as one of those. I wore an oversized flannel shirt, jeans, leather gloves, boots and stuffed the extra room with newspaper so my body looked fake and lumpy. I also made a big stuffed head out of pantyhose, but left enough room for my head to fit inside. I sat on a chair all night and just scared the pants off of people. Great fun. |

If you pretend to be a scarecrow and scare people you'd better watch out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHumfQjA ... re=related |

We normally take our kids out trick treating but leave a bowl of candy for the kids. ONE PROBLEM-----one year left bowl of candy on chair, came home 1hr later, no candy, no bowl, NO CHAIR!!! Last year left candy bowl and chair with note "take the candy LEAVE the chair." Still got the chair. Who would want to take a chair? |

@ chitopr, look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trick_or_treating#Origin Also, I'm not doing Halloween this year, mainly because I've retired from it and because I'm a little under the weather. |

If you watched SportsCenter this morning (I felt sick, not H1N1), there were a bunch of people who dressed up as Mike Ditka. Some actually looked like him. ![]() Bobby Baseball wrote: ome kids didn't even dress up and expected me to give them candy. Maybe they were undercover agents? ![]() |
