For me, for some reason the connection for me works flawlessly with some games, but MLB 09 isn't one of them, and from what I've read, there are a lot of problems with lag in this game.

Also, my game for some reason is now a much grayer color than it used to be, it's so depressing I can't bring myself to play that game anymore.

gocubs go to internet settings on ps3 and type in your I.P. address see if that helps if not i'm not sure whats wrong

You might need to give your service administrator the MAC adress for your PS3 for it to work. That's what happened with me and my DSi.
