Can anyone give me a basic little introduction to Gamestop? I am interested in buying/selling/ trading some used games but I don't know how it works. Also I have a specific question: Can I go to Gamestop and trade my used DS games for used PSP games? |

Say you have a game that GameStop is selling new for like... I don't know. Fifty bucks. You want to trade it in. They give you credit for it in the form of maybe around fifteen bucks. Probably fifteen, something like that. You can get cash too, but you get much less than you would for store credit. I think you need a GameStop "Edge" card to do the whole store credit thing, so you'll want to sign up for that if you go there often--shouldn't take long. It's about fifteen bucks to sign up for an Edge card, and you get a subscription to Game Informer with it, at least until the date when you need to renew the card. If you have an Edge card, you also get a small discount if you show it to them every time you buy a used game. Doesn't work with new games. You also get a small boost to the amount of credit you get for trading in a game when you show them your Edge card. |

You don't need the card, but it helps that you have it because it gives you more credit/money for trade ins and reduces the price on used games. |

So if I wanted to trade for a used version of MLB The Show 09, about how many DS games would I need to trade in (without the card)? Also if I get it from Gamestop does that guarantee that the game works right? |

Gamestop gives a 30 day money back guarantee on used games. It it doesn't work, you can return it. The used games we've gotten there have been fine. |

They have cool sales a lot. I love going in when its buy 2 used games get one free. I would get the edge card cause you get like 10% discount on used games and accessories. It always comes in handy plus the game informer mag is really good. |
