Since I skipped seventh grade and finished eighth last year, I'm going into ninth on this year. I'm starting on the thirty-first. -.-

Hopefully though, everything will be fine. I'm probably going to run track this year. I'm a medium distance runner. I can literally run a mile in four minutes and twelve seconds flat.

I'm gonna be a sophomore this year. :D My main goal for this year is MAKE THE BASEBALL TEAM. I was so excited last year finally getting to go to a school with a baseball team, and I didn't make it. My coach asked me to be "Manager", but I wasn't really manager of anything. Basically, all I did was practice with the team, and do EVERYTHING the team did except play in the games. I went to all the games, but didn't play. I WILL make the team this year. I've gotten so much better and I can't wait! :D

I know this isn't about High School, but I saw on the news that another school district in my state has eliminated bus service, and some elementary students will have to make the 1.5 mile journey to school, or get a ride from their parents. For most of that route, there isn't any sidewalks, nor curbs. And it took about 15-20 minutes (According to a reporter for my local news station) to finally find a sidewalk. And then he said imagine a kid half his size, wearing a backpack, in the middle of winter.

That's good. But get this: when I was way back in 7th grade, we had some kid who could run a mile in 3 minutes 43 seconds. It was amazing. I can a mile in about that time now, maybe a little less. I'll go run one and get back to you.

In my opinion, the school part of it was slightly harder, but there's so much more to get involved in in high school like clubs or baseball that makes it pretty fun.

What are you? The reincarnation of Steve PreFontaine or something? A mile in three minutes and forty-three seconds shatters the current American Record by about eight seconds. Not to mention you're breaking the world record by five seconds.

That's insane. Go represent us in the Olympics.

funny story:
back in 6th grade, we were running the mile for the fitness test, and there was this one kid who everybody hated, because he was naive and obnoxious.
Now, our P.E. teacher, who was a poser but hated this kid too, always had us do a "cool-down" lap after our mile.
This kid, David, runs 2 laps, then completely burns out (It's 6 laps around the parking lot = 1 mile).
So he starts walking the last lap, right?
But he's only on his 6TH LAP, not his cool-down lap.
So we were all yelling at him to finish up, he was still going, and he just kept arguing with us.
By the time he gets a few feet from the finish line, he still has a mark around 11 minutes.
But then somebody yells something, and he stops literally centimeters from the finish line, turns around, and starts yelling at him.
And he stands there until the end of P.E. class arguing with kids, so his time that year (I think, the PE teacher might've changed it a little) was 13:00+

Btw, i almost forgot, our school has a fencing club. I might wanna try that.

Fencing sounds fun. We don't have that. I did ultimate Frisbee club last year, and I plan to do it again this year. :D

That's OK Red the kid was Jamaican, and he moved back there, not sure where he is now. Only a Jamaican or Kenyan could run that fast, those guys having blazing speed. I hadn't run a mile in a while, 5 miles, yes. I hadn't relized how far one actually was (I usually lose track when singing to the music or something). Actually trying to get around running as fast as I could, I only made it 2 laps before I had to stop and stretch get some water, do more calisthenics. Then I went back and did it with still trying but keeping a fast pace. I was completely wrong, Did the mile in about 4:15:23. Looking back, the kid had to be older than us to run that fast. He might have been 16 or 17. We had a couple kids who were in 7th grade who were 16.
