DeVillain guitars solve this problem. They feature a nifty folding design. When you unfold, you don't even have to retune the strings. |

If you really care about your guitar you'll buy a second seat for it (yes, some airlines allow this). Otherwise there are very expensive, premium travel cases for guitars. I'm not sure how much that would matter with an acoustic since they're so delicate in the first place. If you just trust the minimum wage baggage guys with delicate equipment then you're asking for trouble. |
