With free agent signing beginning on July 8th, where do you think some players will go? |

I think Ben Gordon will go to the Pistons ![]() Anyone hear that the Cavs are looking at Artest? I think that's what I heard. I could have sworn there was another team looking at 'Sheed. |

Yeah, the Pistons got Gordon, though not a surprise they want to compete now. The Celtics and Magic are going for Wallace. Although it looks like the C's want him more. They sent out the big 3, the owner, and the GM all out to Wallace to talk him into signing. I guess the Magic are just getting into him. Ariza to Houston is a great move with Artest a Laker now. Marcin Gortat was a great back-up in Orlando, I think I heard somewhere that Dallas wants to give him 5 years and could start. |

or, IMO, the Pistons want to be inconsistent. At least Gordon's a somewhat competent defender. I've watched Charlie V for the last three years, and Detroit will be frustrated more often than not. When he's hitting his shots, he's dangerous to the opposition...but when he's not, he tends to be far more dangerous to his own team because he's one of the Association's worst defenders...and he's got the body to do a lot of damage, it's frustrating to see he doesn't use it nearly as much as he could. so is Detroit gonna compete? not really. First they have to find somebody to put at center who's not Kwame Brown. Then, Rodney Stuckey has to find a way to not get destroyed by Ramon Sessions again (eh well, a lot of people seem to think Stuckey's the next CP3. I do not. Ask 20 Bucks fans about Sessions, you'll probably get 20 different answers. Mine is "young Jason Kidd") ![]() |
