Should some of these records (HR) be accepted as is?

Okay so i'm watching the Phillies against the Jays and the broadcasters were commenting on the current PEDs crisis in baseball, and they mentioned how 61(single-season HR record) was the still the record to them, despite it not being so. Personally i agree with them, in the aspect that records broken by players who are greatly, and almost proven to have used PEDs shouldn't be considered records. But i was wondering your guys thoughts or comments on this situation....

Well, i vote yes. I'm mean, come on, what are they gonna do, go back and take away home runs when he was on steroids? how can you know for sure when they were on and off. And should it be until they stop, or totally out of your system, or what? While it's not right, reversing it in stats is just not a pheasable thing to do.

Well as far as the official record they should still be considered the actual record but it's up to you who is the home-run leader in your own mind.

I would imagine that he was kidding, esp. since he never had 50 homers in a season :!: That's a lot of 40-49 homer seasons.
