With Father's day coming up my kids would like to get me a game of my choice. I have really enjoyed rpg (finaly fantasy) or rts (lord of the rings battle for middle earth) but I don't know of any good ones for the Wii. Can you guy give me some ideas?

Some of the games I have scouted that seem somewhat intresting are:
Rune Factory
chocbo's dungeon
little kings story
was call of duty world at war any good for wii? have played call of duty on pc only
final fantasy crystal chronicles
is there a good tennis game out there for wii?

I'm still trying to figure it out. Unless PP09 comes out I don't want another baseball, madden seems to trash on wii as well as basketball. Never been big into 1st person shooters but have always enjoyed final fantasy on ps1 or KOTOR on pc.

Looking forward to see what you guys come up with for ideas.

Thank you

does this make you feel old by any chance, foxtrump?
anyways, virtua tennis and grand slam tennis both just came out for wii, to answer that question.
i still remember playing virtua tennis on my brother's dreamcast. good times...
CoD for wii is supposed to be good, and little king's story is interesting.
final fantasy (both of the FF games you have up there) has gotten good reviews, and i haven;t heard too much about rune factory.
there's always FIFA or PES 09 (soccer) on wii.
madden isn't that bad on wii, as long as you get the motions right.
basketball IS garbage on wii, EA just can't get it right there...

hope this helps!

you don't start to feel old except on our birthday when it becomes illegal to put candles on your cake because of the fire hazard! or when someone asks your age and you have to pull out your drivers license to see what year you were born in, because you can't remeber, and then have to figure it out......yes all that has happened more then once.

soccer on wii....have thought of that one.

*Mario Kart Wii
or
*Price is Right.

Why?
Mario Kart wii: I don't know if you have this already, but it's a fun racing game, and there are many neat courses to race on. You can also use Miis on this game. There is also a Wii Wheel that comes with it, and it's very easy to use when you get the hang of it. This also has multiplayer and Tournaments.

Price Is Right: Another fun game based on the game show. It's very fun when you get the hang of what to do. Multiplayer is a little skewed in this situation, because you only use one remote, which is kind of a bummer. The games are played just the same as they are on TPIR, and they're really easy to do.

These are two of my other games. Another suggestion might be Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, but it's your choice.

Tiger Woods 09 is good, the club tuner is a nice new addition, and it's pretty easy to get into.
Rock Band (2, the first one has almost no world tour mode, and no downloadable songs) is a great pick.

I really want to buy Little king's story, but they keep pushing back the release date.

well rune factory is harvest moon with legend of zelda fighting style
call of duty is a good game the duel story is nice and you dont have stupid AI but your biggest replay value would the online play
virtul tennis is the only gaming series that has really well
i have final fantasy crystal chronicles echoes in time and the only problem i have with it is the duel screens. it has your menu screen on the right and game on the left, you can make one screen by pressing - or + but you cant have full screen which i really hate and it forces you to use your menu in real time so you have to make sure your not fighting to use your menu.

the biggest game i say buy is animal crossing city folk, its a game that there is nothing to do but you can do anything, you want to go fishing, shopping, make a game room, collect fossils, or even do nothing just do it there is no "goal" in this game its to live a fantasy life its real time so whatever time and date it is now its the same in the game and its seanonal so if there is a fish that comes around in winter that will be the only time to catch it, it kind of wants you to play every day but more of a at least log on some time during the day. there is much more stuff but im typing alot right here so if you have questions just ask :D
