Post subject:  Peavy to the chisox?
On mlb.com I'm hearing rumors of Jake Peavy to the white sox official IF he decided to destory his no-trade clause. They could definatly use it as they're lost 20-1 right now against the twins but the padres should've made this move before, their were better proespects from the cubs and braves than what the white sox are gonna give them if it goes through

Dbarrett, i know one thing, Peavy wanting out's just about baseball's worst kept secret, and I figure the only reason he's not wearing a Cubs uniform right now is the footdragging as far as the sale's concerned. Eh well, better he go to the Sox than the Brewers. I aint gonna endure CC-mania part II. :roll:

I don't think that's true. When he signed, he wanted a no-trade clause. It actually looks like he likes San Diego and doesn't want to leave. His family is settled down and he lives close to them. Why move? Plus, it's the best pitchers park in the game, and he probably wants more money. He'll get better numbers there.

I don't think Peavy will go anywhere unless it's San Fran. But I don't think he would go very easily.

The Padres will make it hard on the Giants as they are division rivals. The only reason Peavy wanted a no-trade clause is because he did not want the Padres to trade him to a even crappier team like the nationals.

Where did you hear it from? Phillies have no prospects to really give up. I don't think Peavy would like to pitch in NL East, but Santana vs Peavy would be nice.
