WEEK 1

Texans 14, Rookies 7

The Rookies lost their season opener in Houston, as their only score came on a goal-line rush by John Clay (2 ATT, -1 YDS). QB Andy Dalton passed for 211 yards and was 13-for-28, but was intercepted in the final minute. Dalton connected with #1 wideout A.J. Green 8 times for 172 yards.

Fudge Pops 13, Jets 0

The Fudge Pops triumphed over the Jets Sunday night, as Stephen McGee passed for 185 yards and a touchdown, Felix Jones rushed for 41 yards, and Michael Hamlin had 5 tackles. However, Reggie Wayne suffered a complete ACL tear, and is out for the season. He was placed on IR, and Fresno signed Taurus Johnson to a one-year deal to fortify the position.

Hey, John Clay!! He's a former Badger! I just wish there was a Clay Matthews.

Clay's great as a goal-line fullback, of course, Baron Batch losing yards doesn't help the Rookies either, and Devine, Henery, and Henry are on cold streaks (but A.J. Green is on a hot streak!)

WEEK 2

Rookies 17, Browns 13

The Rookies rebounded from a loss this week as John Clay scored two touchdowns, Noel Devine ran for 64 yards, and A.J. Green had 110 yards on 4 receptions. Kicker Alex Henery pitched in with a field goal (and it is worth mentioning that Chas Henry had 2 strong punts).

49ers 15, Fudge Pops 13

The Fudge Pops lost a close one as Stephen Bowen's 4-tackle, 1-sack night, Felix Jones's 42-yard, one-touchdown game, and Dwayne Harris's 96 all-purpose yards weren't enough. Lonyae Miller scored on a 4-yard rush (his only carry of the game), but Stephen McGee could not convert for two (he was 4-for-16 for 43 yards). McGee was replaced by Tom Brandstater (2-for-5*, 58 yards) for the 4th quarter. The GM, Peter Smith, said that "(Tom) Brandstater showed us flashes of brilliance in those two possessions, and has been named the starter for the Redskins game."

*Brandstater's incompletions all came on Hail Mary passes on the last possession of the game.
