I think for random online racing, NASCAR 09 is the only one that's really active. NASCAR Racing 2003 Season has leagues devoted to it, but the game is damned expensive, and the online community for it is drifting off, I think.

i used to play miller lite racing league. it was sim game you pick your driver and crew chief(fake guys) upgraded your car if you had the money and race on sunday and give you a little story on how your driver did. the winner in the league got to hear 10 mins of race chatter( not all that great but still nice) sadly they shut it down
