I'm sure a good portion of you are involved with one fantasy league or another, like myself. Well, sometimes we make some trades or are about to, that are questionable at best, and we seek acceptance from our peers. I'm like that unfortunately. Anyway, I was wondering if someone could rate this trade I just made. I send Mark Teahen and Vance Wilson to another player for Rocco Baldelli and Ryan Khoury (Prospect). Thoughts? Personally, I love this trade. Teahen is not a starter on my team (nor will he ever be - I deeply despise the man), so I am not losing anything great. Wilson is very, very old, while the two I am gaining our young and have a good future ahead of them. |

At first I thought that was Texierra, not Teehan I was thinking what an idiot haha. This must be a pretty deep league, as I wouldn't normally want any of those guys on my bench except Teehan. Baldelli especially, he won't even start next year, with a already established Red Sox outfield and his disease. There is almost no chance that Khohry will start this year, let alone come up outside of September. Now if this is a keeper league, then maybe the prospect is worth it, but I don't even know then. I think this is a bad trade. My guess is that you're being too much a homer (Going for guys on you're own team). Neither of these guys are going to be any good, while Teehan is so versatile that if you have several injuries, this guy can play practically anything and he can back one of those spots up. |

Never get Rocco. Love the guy but he can't play more than 2 full games. If he does Rocco has to go to the hospital for like 2 weeks. And Ryan Khoury? I doubt he will play much unless the team is plagued by injuries. And Teahen is great player. Versatile and can hit for power. Overall: C- |

I'm sorry. I was vague on my intentions and the reason I accepted the trade. I believed that Baldelli and Khoury would respectively be able to anchor a trade offer, whether it be alone or together. I was right. Immediately after making the 'questionable' trade, I fired Baldelli and Khoury off to someone else for Carlos Quentin; in his first full season in the majors, he belted thirty home runs. Everything I have read on him for this year, states he should reach forty home run power with over one hundred and twenty RBIs. |

Holy snap! That's one heck of a steal! What was that guy thinking?! |

Longball714 wrote: Holy snap! That's one heck of a steal! What was that guy thinking?! Well, the fantasy league is a long lasting league, since we use OOTP (Out of the Park Baseball) as a platform. I shipped him off a prospect and a decent designated hitter for an outfielder, which I need. The prospect though, Ryan Khoury, is actually better than his current starting third baseman. Khoury only needs about a month in the minors or more to blossom into a great third baseman for him. This guy has a stacked outfield, though. I think he was trying to clear some room (he did recieve an outfielder), but he has Nate McLouth, Alex Rios, Chris Young, Eric Hinske and now Rocco Baldelli in his outfield. |

That is such a lopsided trade I would be sure it would have been vetoed. I mean you must have done a hell of a job selling it (that's half the trade), because I would laugh if I got a trade offer like that. Wow, I'm impressed. What did you say to him to convince him to make the trade? |

Yeah that's a complete ripoff. Teahen is a decent second baseman. |

As I said in one of my above posts, he is receiving a third baseman which he needs badly along with another outfielder. I'm only receiving Carlos, but he has tons of players to take his spot as the big "bat" in the lineup. For example, he has Pujols and Khalil Greene. |

I would still rather have the superstar outfielder than the Platoon player and a minor league 3B. |

Khalil Greene is a terrible starting shortstop in a non NL only league or 12+ team league. But anyway, I'm still amazed this was pulled off. If this really happens, then you are a truly great persueder. |
