Geoff Jenkins was released by the Phills, and Sheffield was released by the Tigers. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sheffield in a Phillies uniform, especially since he can hit for power and is a HOFer.

Sheffield will go to an AL team as he likely is going to hit DH or Pitch Hit. He might be a future HOF, but he is getting old and only has experience worth much. I think a play like the O's or Royals would suite him.

He will definetly play, seeing as he's 1 homer away from 500. He's not that good anymore and he could just become a pinch hitter for the phillies as they just dropped another slugger soon after this happened. I was really suprised, I thought he was at least a good back up.
