Let me guess....he's from the Dom Republic?! That's starting to become maditory for players from that country.

Yeah, he did it so he could be a better prospect and get a larger signing bonus to help his family. I find nothing wrong with it, whoever signed him got a really good player, but as they say, he had a year more of experience than anybody else they signed at "that" age.

But he lied to pro ball for money, and may have used it to influence a team's decesion, he could've possibly ended up elsewhere. I think it was wrong, even if he was trying to help his family. there are better ways to support yoru family.
