Is there any good guide, wiki, walktrhough, fansite, ect. for MLB 2K8, especially if it's targeted for the Wii? I can't find anything on google, and I recently got the game. |

I'm not sure but I'll tell you about the game, this game is a good game that wasn't finished really but, they have alot of rosters and alot of players here, theres AAA and mlb rosters, and for some players like evan longoria or david price, they have different names(like david price in this game is donald pearce) so u have to watch for those names to find players in the game They have season mode, and franchise mode, season is for just one season and ur done and franchise is for alot of seasons(im not sure) they have ALOT of glitches though, for instance in the second year of franchise you have to do something to fix ur schedule so you dont have 15 games the next year and sometimes in the playoffs their may be a oen game playoff for each series. As for free agents there are HUNDREDS. When you use normal rosters there will be players like sean casey, mike cameron, akinori otsuka and sammy sosa, as well as joe young/barry bonds, they also got alot of other things wrong though, for instance, dan ortmeier in this game is a switch hitter, joe young is switch and omar quantinalli(rockies ss/2b) throws lefty so hes impossible to use on the infield until you edit him. And for rosters, you have to edit them by going to something then going to rosters. It can be addicting but it has alot of bugs but good luck |

Thanks. I already bought it for 30 bucks, but I'm now wishing I held out till next year. I didn't know about franchise mode having that error, that really stinks. By the way, I'd seperate your long post into paragraphs, its a bit hard to read. |

I dont have a link but if you go to 2ksports.com, then you can go to forums and look at those. But one thing too thats been happening to me, I played it today and when i called up my pitcher, he didnt appear on my roster at all, its happened alot and its annoying, and this is important too, so when you're about to get offseason FA's, press save and proceed. then exit and make a new franchise, then save it, go to the origanal one and press load and load to the new one and then load back to the origanal one and by the new season it should have a FULL schedule(if you dont do this then have fun with your 15 day schedule in 2009) But check other places too for help on the schedule glitch |

Yeah, it ANNOYS ME TOO!!!!! ![]() Sorry about that, I was writing in a hurry cause I had to go somewhere. But I think this game maybe has just been retired for good, I was gonna sign buehrle BUT, not so fast, he wants 70mil and 7 years, this is after finishing the year before in this game with an ERA over 5, I hate the 30 years olds that ask for way to much money and ask for way too many years, I mean buehrles good, but not that good. And my bullpen has to be relied on by two draft picks cause noone else is getting accepted by the game besides my draft picks I just got |

Thanks for the tip. After a 10 game year (I set it to that), in which I went 10-0 and got an increaced payroll, here's what my rotation was and the part of my line-up I remember off the top of my head. 1. Roy Oswalt 2. Ben Sheets 3. Dontre Willis 4. I don't remember, but he was bad ace/good number 2 quality 5. Derek Lowe Pretty good, eh? I had 2 closers in my bullpen Offense: Included Andrew Jones (The over-rated one, not the .100 one last year) Hideki Matsui, Nomar Garcipara, Carlos Lee, Juan Piree, Martin, M. Cabrera (The Third Basemen, the second best according to the game next to A-Rod), Jose Cantu (Seconds). I think I might have got it all? I also got Ensberg and Andy Laroche (Or did I trade Laroche). So I have the best pitching rotation and possibly the best offense, as well as a stellar bullpen. I also have the best speed. I made some great trades, the only two players I listed I signed were Jose Cantu and M Cabrera (and some players for trade bate and one reliver. I almost signed Mariano too, but the price was too high). |

my team, its in 2011 but its another annoying 10 game schedule, but my lineup is stacked(Im using the cubs)This was 2009 cause I didnt pay much attention in 2008 SS-Furcal (.326 10 hrs 98 rbis 56 stolens bases) 3B-Zimmerman (.302 27 Homers 99 rbis) RF-Markakis (.307 25 homers 102 rbis) LF-Burell (.256 30 homers 109 rbis) 2B-Utley (.325 32 homers 123 rbis) CF-Hunter (.268 31 homers 121 rbis) C-Napoli (.243 26 homers 78 rbis) 1B-C.Jackson (.265 22 homers 70 rbis) P-Webb,Cook,(Carlos)martinez,(tyler)clippard,Kris benson These are pretty realistic stats Heres my 2009 story: I had a great offense, but my pitching was pretty bad, I was first in runs, but last in ERA. Webb and cook didnt play well and had ERAS over 4, I relied on my minor leaguers in martinez and clippard, who performed greatly, Clippard was 13-6, 4.12 ERA and martinez(whom I edited alot) was 17-6, 3.77 ERA and also had 201 K's. And also benson was 14-5, 3.98 ERA and pitched 201.1 innings Ok my bullpen was just bad, Matt capps was my closer who had an ERA over 8, and affeldt and juan cruz didnt do well at all, so on the trading deadline I tryed to trade one of my backup catchers(colt morton) for relief(I had 78 offers for morton, most from the padres who had Jd drew as their catcher, they really needed help). And he batted .371 in 13 games while napoli was injured and I ended up trading him for geoff geary and mark lowe(who became my closer) After I tryed out cruz and affeldt on the trade market and I got damaso marte and a minor leauge pitcher, all 4 players I got turned into great players in my bullpen, after those trades, the cubs went from 16th in ERA to 8th by the end of the year meaning my moves payed off, although at 88-74, I finished 2 games behind the marlins for the wild-card and 4 behind the astros for the central, I have to give up cause of the schedule glitch, but if I was to play, I would probably win like the wild-card The end ![]() |

Your rotation should have been good with Cook and Webb, but I guess it was a bad year. I had furcal, not Juan Pierre on my team, I forgot I traded Pierre. |

Webb and cook had an ERA around 5 for most of the year until they got it below 5 in the last month. And plus the game didnt allow me to bring up chad durbin and carlos villanueva so I had to rely on my two draft picks sadly who had ERAs over 5 and 6, my bullpen was a mess, escpecially since my best three, capps, affedlt and cruz did awful,It sorta reminded me of the mets cause my bullpen killed my season |

well in 09 I made the playoffs despite long stints on the 60 day Dl by jackson, furcal and napoli, this year the playoffs was actually like a series instead of a one game playoff for each series so I made it to game seven and i let up back to back to back in the 9th to give the jays a tie and the game froze in the 12th, but the game was saved during game 6 so i'm playing it soon, trying to get my first world series ever Edit: scratch that. Apparently it says the series is over and its not letting me continue, time to start over AGAIN, this game had so much potential too, well at least 2k9 is coming out in a month and a half |
