Post subject:  Best Game You've Ever Seen

I was curious about what all you long-time baseball fans think was the best game you've ever seen. I'm more looking for guys who have been watching for a very long time to answer this, but the younger guys here and newer fans are welcome to answer. So, what's the best game you've ever seen in person or in general?
For me, I think the best game I've ever gone to (which has only been about 25 games) was the second to last game at Yankee Stadium. After having gone to so many games (10-12) that year, I realized as I was on my way to the stadium that I had really taken the whole experince for granted. The whole magical feeling and immersion I once had had kind of disapeared. I prommised myself that this last game, I wouldn't take anything for granted. From the moment I walked in, I just took everything in. It was truly a magical feeling. I loved the game again. Plus, the game was a fantastic one. The Yankees ended up winning in the 9th with a walk-off by Cano. The people behind me were talking about what a terrible player Cano is, how he doens't care about the game, he should be traded away, ect. for the whole entire game and it drove me insane. Cano shut em' up with his walk-off as they were in mid-sentance. As a real Cano lover, I couldn't be happier. What an amazing come back and win.
I also saw some other pretty damn good games this year, including Gimabi's incredible 2-run homer walk-off that started the mustaches, Bother of Gardner's hit, the game where the Yankees left 21 me on base and won in the 11th with bases loaded and two-outs when Molina got hit (I laughed so hard after that happened). I also saw Abreu's walk-off and one more. I also saw the worst 2 games of the year, the only ones the Yankee's bullpen blew. But overall, I got very lucky this year.

I'm sorry I've only been watching baseball for a few years, but I do have a favorite. My favorite game is definitely the 2007 Wild Card tie-breaker game between the Rockies and Padres, followed closely by the 2008 All-Star game.

Any game the Yankees lose in, and the Red Sox win.

/Joking

The best game I ever saw was in 2003 vs the Red Sox, and Rocco hit a home run. It landed five feet from me. >_< I was mad.

A phillies game back when abreu was on the team. Almost caught a homer from him.

Favorite game overall is the Philadelphia Soul game i went to where they got their first win ever.

The first Devil Rays game where I caught the first ever home-run. Sercurity went and found me, and Wade Boggs to sign it for me. I still have the ball.

If that's true, that's awesome (and seeing as your you, i believe you. that made sense, right? )
Well, i haven't been to any particularlly exciting MLB baseball, but i saw the phills win the series, does that count?
And the best game/meet i've ever been to was probably our Potter Cup at school last year. it's a charity event for Alex's lemonade stand. Our cross-town rival comes to our high school for a three-part sporting event. there's food, a DJ, and a bunch of other stuff. They do boy's and girl's basketball, and wrestling. Since the wrestling meet was last, everyone from both schools were watching and cheering. It was close, but we won last year. Pretty neat.

Haha i'm quite jealous of you guys for even getting CLOSE to catching balls.

It's a little cliche but 2004 ALCS game 4 and WS game 4 for obvious reasons. Don't get me wrong the 2007 win was great too, but it wasn't the same as ending the 86 year drought.

I actually didn't want the Sox to sweep in 04'. My uncle promised me to take me to game 5. So during game 4, I was cheering for both teams.... If that makes sense.

One of my favorite things to do, is go to Double A, Single A, and Triple A games, beacause it's so much easier to get good seats and it's easier to get autographs, and if the player becomes big....

I have atleast 20 autographed balls. Some have gone somewhere others well.....

thats what's so great about all farm games. It doesn't cost a small fortune to get in and have dinner. the players are also still on planet with the rest of us. (for the time being   ) Anyway, yeah, me, my dad and my brother love going. My mom, meh, she's along for the ride.

and cause your a Rays fan, right? I almost got 5 foul ball in a game, but the same stupid little group of kids kept on running over me to get it, and I couldn't exactly push them over, right? (I considered it. They just kind of pushed by me every time, not literally pushing me. I gave up by the third ball because they just stood there then. Stupid kids)

Once they were up 3-0 I knew they were going to win.

My best game I ever saw in person was Tom Browning's perfect game. My dad had gotten tickets from one of his friends who had season tickets along the third base line in the outfield. His friend wasn't going to go, so he offered him to my dad, and we went to the game.

The funny part about the game was that it was almost a rainout. The game was scheduled to start at like, 7 or 8, but it had to be delayed. Finally, it got to be ~10:30 at night, and already about 3/4ths of the crowed had left, thinking they would get rain tickets. We were very close to leaving, probably about another five minutes and we would take off. They finally started the game, and it was the quickest one I have ever seen. 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3, and that was the entire game. The whole thing last about an hour and a half it was so quick. Of course, the Reds weren't putting up runs either.
