Does anyone think the Mets will go after Varitek for a few years, and trade Schneider along the way?

I see it now...

Schneider and a draft pick for Varitek...

Oh by the way, they may have discussed this a few weeks ago with the Red Sox. o.o

They could, but if you mean letting someone else sign Schneider then they could get a draft pick, but I don't think you can trade for draft picks.


The Sox offered Arbitration to Varitek I would like to see him go back to Sox but if the Mets sign him, then the Sox get 2 draft picks which would be nice.

Wait, aren't you a Rays fan (Not questioning your loyalty or anything). Why would you want him to resign with the Sox? I mean I like Varitek and I'd love for him to leave the team so I can route for him to do well. Right now, I have to hope he does terribly (when he's on the Sox).
