If you could be any ballplayer for the last game of the world series, who would you be? The doesn't have to have a world series ring, but if someone won it, who would you want to be. Mine is based off real-life (yours can be, doesn't have to) this year. I would have been Carlos Ruiz. He's my favorite player, and it would ahve been awsome to be part of that celebration. |

Any ballplayer? Well, being realistic, I'd like to be Brad Lidge because he wouldn't have to pitch much but still gets the recognition, along with being in the tape played 10000 times. Only downside: I got run over by Ryan Howard. ![]() For ANY ballplayer, I'd be Zach Duke (Pirates) becuase he's a pitcher (like me) and he's on the Pirates, my favorite team. I've been to that stadium so many times, and I could only imagine PLAYING there. Pittsburgh's a great city, and I'd LOVE to be there. |

Out of PA, I'd be Alfonso Soriano, because then I'd be one of the stars on the Cubs when we break the curse, cementing me in history. Downside: I don't like to take risks, so I'm not ramming into that ivy. I'm also not the brighest person, so I don't want to risk leaping into a giant heap of poison ivy. ![]() |

I would probably be Tim Wakefield of the Boston Red Sox, mostly because he's a knuckleball pitcher, like me, and he's my favorite pitcher in the league. |

I would be A-Rod. I could sit on the DL for the next 10 years and earn $275 i think? Nah, mabye Rivera cause he has a awesome cutter and he is a yankee. |

On the DL, you'll still probably make $6 a second. AWESOME! Historically for any player of all-time, Bill Mazeroski, hitting that HR against the Yankees in the Series. I still remember where I was when that happened. That was great. |

Probably Mike Mussina because it would be the real way to top off his career and it would defiantly put him in the HOF because he would also now have a world series ring. |

(hypothetically speaking) i would be Pedro Martinez of the '94 Expos! well, as you know, on august 12 the remainder of the '94 MLB season, the playoffs, and eventually the world series were all canceled while the players and owners bickered like spoiled brats. at that point, Montreal was 74-40, the best team in the majors with a commanding 6 game lead in the NL east over the 2nd place Braves. of course, stating that the Expos would win it all or even make it to the Series is all speculative since many of the greatest teams have gone down in defeat in october. still, if you think about where the '94 roster went after that season... during the next three years the talented Expos were systematically dismantled. Larry Walker went to Colorado were he won the 1995 NL MVP. Moises Alou and Cliff FLoyd went to Florida where they helped the Marlins win the World Series in 1997. John Wetteland won the 1996 World Series MVP with the New York Yankees. Pedro Martinez was traded to the Boston Red Sox after winning the NL Cy Young in 1997 and eventually helped them win the Series in '04, ironically the final season ever for the "Spos. '94 was the beginning of the end for Montreal which became another MLB causality ![]() ![]() ![]() |

This year, Lidge so I could purposely blow the play-offs and let the Rays win. Any other year, the team's closer in the world series who I'm rooting against because I know I would never have the mentality or knowledge of his cutter to pitch like Mariano, or honestly the vast, vast majority of closers. |

I just would love to be the one to run up and hug the closer when we won it all. |
