Positive: If you wanted more information on that topic, chances are so did others, and reopening that discussion will probably be helpful. Negative: Cownip will complain and berate you for doing so. |

positive: beneficial to board members if the thread answers frequently asked questions negative: bad if ppl are bumping random threads because they're bored or to continue an off topic convo. |

Positive: The Thread most likely has good information, and most people only look at "View New Posts". So, they won't see it at all unless it is at the top. Negative: By Bumping a post up, you are moving a post down. Which means quality information could be going down as well. |
