I just carved a couple of pumpkin's for my kids. One wanted a skull on his pumpkin (he is into pirates), and the other wanted Fire Pup on his. He just recently went through fire safety in kindergarten. What do you think? ![]() ![]() |

I won't have any trick or treaters. My house sits 100 yards off of the road. I actually turn the pumpkins around, so the boys can see them through the windows. |

At least you have pictures. So after they rot you can post the pictures on your front porch and they can look at those. ![]() |

I used to think the far off houses and long driveways one had the best houses. |

Generally people don't come out to the country area unless they are looking for a haunted house in the middle of a cornfield. |

Do you your kids still want to go out? I lived on a busy street we usually got a lot of trick or treaters, although I had most of it... We once had some little girl come up with her parents and she said "Merry Chirstmas!" Fun stuff. I've noticed over the years that halloween is getting less and less scarier. |

I still go trick-or-treating at 16, but I do it with kids with special needs. Brilliant Jack-O-Lanterns, It's a shame that no one else can see them. All the same, what really matters I'm sure is that the kids appreciate them. I can't imagining them not loving them, there certainly better then anything I could make with my very limitied artistic ability. |

Actually, there is no artistic ability involved in making them at least by me. You can get a pattern off of the internet and tape it to your pumpkin, then you get a pen, nail, screw to dot the area where you need to cut. They sell pumpkin carving tools at the local Wal-mart, so that is what I used. Pretty easily actually. |
