My first and probably still one of my favorites is Baseball Simulator 1.000. I still have the cartidge and still play it sometimes in my toploader NES. Another good baseball game for about the same time is Base Stars. Have any of you played these or are you all a bunch of kids who haven't heard of any games before the PS2? |

When I was a kid we had an old Mac Classic. ![]() For the life of me I can't remember the name of the baseball game that existed for it but needless to say it was extremely primitive. Good times though playing with my brothers. Be thankful you actually had colour for your NES system! My favorite baseball game though in somewhat more modern times was Super Batter Up for the SNES. That was a great game. I played that endlessly. My first real video game system though was a Colecovision. We didn't have a baseball game for it although I'm sure one existed. |

All I have is a huge stack of Atari cartridges and a broken system I haven't gotten around to repairing. Didn't come back to the console thing until the Wii. I've had a slew of PC baseball games during that time. |

My first baseball game was a handheld monster. I can't remember any specific name it had but it was 2 players and it had a controller that popped out of the top for whoever was pitching (so you couldn't see what pitch they were selecting) and the batter would hold the main unit. It was very old (early to mid 80's) but it was awesome and if I had it today the child inside would scream like a little girl. There were a couple of baseball games on Atari but the first console game I really enjoyed was RBI Baseball (NES). |

I'm not that old to have such classics, but my first was Backyard Baseball 2003 for the PC. I later added an N64 emulator and got All-Star Baseball 2001 from that on my computer. This game (MLBPP) is my first for a regular game console. I hadn't played much video games in the past and it was usually pokemon (Game Boy) and Super Smash Bros Melee (which I absolutely suck at). Oh, and pinch hitter on the internet. |

My first real baseball game (besides "Baseball" for the NES) was Bases Loaded 3 by Jaleco. Man what a good game. I also liked Baseball Simulator 1.000 because of the special abilities you had, like hitting a line-drive and if someone catches it, it pushes them all the way to the warning track, or the 9-shadow flyball. Also played Base Wars, with the robots. If it was a close call at the base you would fight it out and the winner of the brawl decided whether you were safe or out. Good games Aabra: My first computer was a Mac Plus, almost just like that one ![]() |

My first was "Major League Baseball" for the Mattel Intellivision game console (1980) -lol- Later went through Hardball 1 (Accolade) on the Commodore 64 (mid-'80s), RBI Baseball (the original arcade game then the NES version), and then various titles on the PC in the '90s. The Wii is my first console since the Sega Genesis. |

The atari 2600 game was my first. My first favorite is sort of a tie between RBI Baseball and Baseball Stars for the NES. Since then I really can name only two others I liked before power pros. World Series Baseball for the Sega Saturn (Best ever imo) MVP 2005 for Xbox |

Speaking of that, anyone get Baseball Stars 2 for the VC yet? I liked the custom players in that game, reminds me a ton of Power Pros. |

Now that I think about it, I did play Hardball 2 or 3 on my buddy's computer long ago. Not even sure what type of computer it was, but it was fun. |

That was my first baseball game too, and I'd still play it if I had it. I owe my brother some stomping on that game. |

my first baseball game was MVP Baseball 2003. I have the 2004, 2005, and 2006 version, and I still play the 2005 version all the time. To bad it switched to NCAA. |

Unfortunately this wasn't their choice. It's extremely frustrating because there used to be so many options for baseball, but 2k has an exclusive license with MLB now, so any other baseball games that are developed aren't permitted to use major league players - which typically means death for any sports title no matter how good it is. |
