Lester and Zambrano, only two no-hitters of the season. Possible World Series matchup? |

hey who knows, from the way it looks both the Cubs and the Sox are going to be in the postseason that would be a good matchup, even thought Big Z is a #1 starter and lester is #3 |

That would be a real dissapointment. The Red Sox are not the best team this year and I don't think they deserve or will make it to the WS. I believe it will be rhe Angels or the rays. It's possible that the white sox might too, but I believe the red sox have the least chance (slightly less then the WS) and I hope they don't. |

Boohoo, poor little yankee fan....^ Is someone upset they didn't make this year? ![]() I have nothing against the yankees, besides pudge. but seriously so what if the Yanks didn't make it this year, it's the first time NYY didn't make it in like 11 yrs. The more Yankee fans complain, and specially how their rival is going to do (Red Sox) it makes laugh harder at how inconsiderate Yankee and Red Sox fans can really be. Grow up guys, play offs aren't always going to happen. I have experience *cough* Tiger fan *cough*. Get the picture? |

Grow up guys, play offs aren't always going to happen. I have experience *cough* Tiger fan *cough*. Get the picture? This has nothing to do with the Yankees mate, although I do find that insulting. Even if I am biased, this does not render my point moot. I don't believe that the Red Sox have a better team then any of the most likely play-off teams besides most likely the White Sox. I don't think they have a team that has the same quality as the Rays and definetly not the Angels. Nor do I believe they are comprarible to the Cubs and are slightly worse then the Mets. The Brewers with CC have a better team and the Dodgers probably aren't as good. My argument would be the same if the Yanks were in there with the current year. I consider myself a less biased Yankee fan. For me, it is not like I have gone to the play-offs 11 years, or barely one year. Last year was my first year as a fan and this year I have become upssesed, so I have never seen a play-off game I cared that much about besides last year and I would care way more. I understand Yankee fans are spoiled but I'm still dissapointed. You don't need to be so obnoxious and insulting especially because it did not adress my point. Making fun of anothers frusteration is not the way to do it especially with "Boohoo, poor little yankee fan....^ Is someone upset they didn't make this year? ![]() There are nicer ways about making a point then that, and as someone who has recently given up, its hard to take. So please, back off and don't kick me when I'm down in terms of Baseball. I'm a strong supporter of the Rays this year and I like to see a new team do well. I do believe I am the type of Yankee fan by the way who is not a win-picker and will stay loyal. My dad started watching and rooting for the Yankees because he was in New York and they were in the World Series. However, the next 10 years they were in last place every year practically and suffered their "Great Depression". That's as loyal as they come and I feel I will be the same way. Not all of us only like our teams because they win. We all just like to see our team win. By the way, nice job Zambrano! |

Don't become a fan of the Yankees then Jackson. Hey, I hear the Red Sox have a good team haha. Sorry mate, its tough watching your teams not do well. You got to stay loyal though. You can like other teams and root for them to do well, but above all you have to stick with your team. Unlike some Yankee/Red Sox fans, I'm a firm believer of not going for the big championship franchise and not leaving your team. |

Cownip, I was just pointing the flaw most Yankee fans and Red Sox fans I've encountered seem to have out. I wasn't attacking you personally, I live in Detroit and yes there are NY and Boston fans there too. It's just when your favorite Ballclub hasn't gotten it done lately we have to defend ourselves and I'm sorry if I come out rude. This is a tough Baseball world and sometimes you go out swinging, and ain't well recieved at times. I also am cheering for the Rays in the postseason, so we do agree on something! It's just I've been laughed at for being a Tiger fan for so many years, it's just tough. Very tough to have some believe that your team is a threat when they suck horribly. Like this season. Once again congrats Zambrano and sorry Cownip. ![]() |

i don't exactly know what killed the tigers... miggy (miguel cabrera, miggy's his nickname) still had a good season, though. As for my giants, well, if lincecum was a ray, he would be the cy young winner already (tied with cliff lee, of course) |
