Is anyone else really sick of seeing really good players on really bad teams? Cliff Lee is amazing, but the Indians aren't going to the playoffs. He could be doing so much better for a team that actually has a chance at the playoffs. And Tim Lincecum is ridiculously good, but the Giants suck this season. Come on, I want to see these great players contributing on great teams.

Cliff Lee is only good this year. He spent last year mostly in AAA. Giants have good pitching this year but is their offense that let them down. Roy Holladay is good but Blue Jays sucks badly this year, due to lack of offense. Matt Holliday is good too but the Rockies suck very very very baldy due to bad pitching. Tigers arn't doing too well and they have alot of offense and decent starters but are bad this year. (Stars like Gary Shieffield, Maggly Ordoriez, Carbera) Please note by spelling.

a few players that i enjoy watching:

tim lincecum and fred lewis on the giants
ryan doumit on the pirates
joakim soria on the royals

the good thing is that these players are still young and have time to be on a winning team

Yeah, but the Indians were expected to compete this year. And isn't like they've been brutal, they're a .500 team and in the middle of the division pack. If they played in the NL West they'd tied with the Dodgers 3 games back of first :) They've got a good core and aren't completely mismanaged at an ownership/GM level (aka the Texas Rangers), so I'm not real sure what you're wanting. Also, are you defining "really bad teams" as being any team that doesn't make the playoffs? You post seems to indicate that. I wouldn't agree with that at all.

I guess I'm of the opposite opinion. Since I'm not a bandwagoner, I generally hate "dynasties" and embrace parity. I like that outside of the AL East of the past dozen years, a team that finishes in the middle of its division one year can finish first the following year (excluding a few horribly run franchises that are perpetually bad). Star players are also often the only thing that makes watching bad teams enjoyable. It sounds like you're suggesting you'd rather have a handful of all-star teams and a whole bunch of AAAA teams?

u guys are mentioning lincecum, but how about the unluckiest pitcher in the majors: MATT CAIN!
His stats were basically equivalent to Brandon Webb's, but here's the difference:
Webb went 18-10
Cain went 7-16
