Can't believe there isn't a thread for this already, honestly. I just got into the game Sunday, and so far I've caught 9 Pokemon and am a level 3. I'm still trying to figure out a lot of this game, but I'm starting to get it. Excited to reach level 5 which is when I believe that I can start going to gyms, because there's one at nearby spot I visit once a week usually and I don't think it'' have too many other visitors. So far I've caught a Charmander, Nidoran, Drowzee, Staryu, Spearow, Pidgey, Magikarp, Zubat, and a Pidgey. Caught all of them either using the free incense they give you or driving around in my car. :lol: Walking is for scrubs.

i'm level 6. there's not much right nearby but i'm gonna walk around like downtown at some point + collect a shitload of items and pokemon and all that

my roster is as follows (i have 46 pokemon currently):

Squirtle: CP 13, 12
Caterpie: CP 24
Weedle: CP 35
Kakuna: CP 28
Pidgey: CP 87, 60, 60, 56, 43, 41, 26
Pidgeotto: CP 113, 78, 46
Rattata: CP 52, 52, 48, 47, 23, 23

biggest goldmine I've found was at lunch today -- there was a pokestop right outside, and it kept respawning pokemon like every 10 minutes (plus new items every 5) so I loaded up on items plus I caught like 20 pokemon

I'm level 6 at the moment as well, but even though I'm near quite a bit of Pokestops, most of my time walking around that area has yielded a bunch of Pidgeys and Rattatas. I still managed to get a few nice catches, though, and this is my roster (CP is in parentheses):

yeah I get so many Pidgeys and Rattatas, I'm hoping to catch a ton of Pidgeys so I can evolve one of my Pidgeottos (that takes 50 Pidgey candy though, and I only have like 22 atm)...

I'm probably going to spend all of Friday walking around town. There are a ton of spots downtown that I can hit up, and I know of some scattered places along the way -- it's only about 2 hours from my house to downtown, so I should have plenty of time to explore :)

Today's haul (lunch out + walking around the main shopping area in town):

-- a bunch of weak pokemon i traded in for candy
-- several Pidgeys (87, 80, 94, 58, 81, 61)
-- a few Rattatas (52, 36, 79)
-- Zubat (93)
-- Caterpies (23, 22, 57, plus one I evolved to a Metapod [46])
-- Raticate (99)
-- Krabby (118)
-- Ekans (94)
-- two Eevees (165 and 160!)

and the haul of the day, a Dodrio that I powered up to CP 417!

One thing about this game that sort of annoys me is that it's geared so heavily towards towns/cities... I've never seen a Pokemon near my house or my work, but when I drive through town between the two there's Pokemon everywhere and it fills up my nearby box. :(

As far as I know, it is the original 151.

My Pokedex tells me there are 250 possible Pokemon to catch but so far I've only seen the original 151 so I'm not sure.

Also I caught a Squirtle and found 2 eggs on my way to/from work today. :) Also hit level 5 and will be visiting a gym tonight most likely. Think I'm gonna join team mystic because I took a quiz on buzzfeed and that was my result. :lol: what team are you guys?
