Just to add one, the AL had like no HR hitters. It was basically contact hitting. NL had all the power and I believe the 1,2,3 hitters for the NL went 0-7. Pujols should be the biggest disappointment. He did make a few good defensive plays, but that is all for the home town hero. AL stranded 13 runners on base while NL standed 3. It was another case where the AL failed to deliver with men on base/scoring position like last year. The bullpen was impressive but the low strikeout total surprised me. 7 K's with Lincecum, Verlander, Greinke, King Felix, Billingsley.

Longball: You should be glad you did not see it :)

Pujols' defense wasn't disappointing. He made that error in the first, then made two or three nice defensive plays later in the game.

Dodgers play well as a team, but have little outstanding, when some, but not alot. Bell kinda did, but Granderson hustled to get to 3rd and Jones won the same. I felt they should have walked Jones and send Marquis to pitch to Youk as he is a GB pitcher, or even get Santana into the game. I think they used up their "closers" way too early in the game.

yeah they were a little desperate they coulda used a better starter honestly. But yeah, i know what you eman about the Dodgers but they do have some talent even seperat like they have pretty desent pitching even though manny can leave and i think theyd do better with pierre dude leads the BA i mean seriously? why keep manny when he kinda hurts the team now? sure hes and intimadater but id rather have somebody that can play well, only bad hting about pierre is his arm he can just barely get it in but still does well. woulda been nice to see kershaw play but hey, hes 21 and hes going to be really good the next few years if he keeps it up :D

Ok, think about this. Pierre makes less than 5 million i think. Manny makes 25 million I think. If they don't play Manny, its kinda stupid. Pierre was really good, but they need a big bat. Pierre helped them alot and Manny should move to 1B and Loney and be a PR/PH. Pierre is a slap hitter. All the NL reserves has a bit of speed and has power, unlike Pierre. Pierre has speed and is so happening to have a good season. Pierre hits pretty bad against the AL all stars. 5-19 against NL+AL combined. 0-6 against AL all stars.

How about that grab Carl Crawford made to save a HR? He got the MVP for that.

I love the "if" word. Like IF no one found out A-Rod did steriods, IF Roger Clemens was never taken out in the 7th inning or something. So IF Pierre had Power, Good Arm, Speed, Contact, Fielding, basically a very good 5 tool player, they would never have signed Manny. If they did not sign Manny, I don't think Dodgers would even be motivated to play this season. Last year, they were pretty much helpless without Manny before the All-Star Break. 54-53 as of July 31, 2008 before Manny came. 46-49 before All Star Break. They were hanging around .500 and never looked in contention for a run in the playoffs. Manny came and brought a new dimension, a new intimidation they never really had. They broke out and made a run. Manny played a great role of bringing the morale of the Dodgers up. He gave them a new confidence, he gave Pierre a confidence. Pierre played a great row, but he was not a solution to be protection for Hudson or whoever was hitting ahead of Manny since Manny batted cleanup. Manny to the Dodgers helped them believe in themselves and brought them back to the top. His role in the Dodgers is pretty obvious. The 50 Game suspension was unfortunate. However, the experience of the playoffs last year must have motivated the Dodgers to play better.
