The scoring began on the first pitch of the game, when Martin Prado unloads on a fastball high and in the zone to straightaway right field to make it 1-0 early. Then, after McCann reaches on an error by catcher Iannetta, Heyward hits him home from second with an RBI single. Then, they'll pile on another run in the first, with McLouth hitting Heyward home from second (after a stolen base) with a single. Carlos Gonzalez had to wait until the 9th to do it, but he got all those runs back for the Rockies to make it 3-3. They delivered the walk-off off of an error from Freeman and runners on the corners.

Atlanta Braves:
Jair Jurrjens: 7 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 7 K
Martin Prado: 2-4, HR, RBI


Colorado Rockies:

The scoring began in the top of the third, when with a runner on base, Garett Jones slams a home run to right field, to make it 2-0 Pirates. Then, in the top of the fifth, Kevin Correia, the Pirates' pitcher, hit a home run himself to make it 3-0. In the top of the sixth, Robbie Cedeno came up and hit another bomb, to make it 4-0. Fast forward now to the to the top of the eighth, when Garrett Jones comes up with a runner on second to make it 5-0 with a single. Then, in the bottom half of the same inning, Brooks Conrad, a pinch hitter for the pitcher, came in and hit an RBI pinch-hit single. Then, Heyward would come up later and hit a home run to make it 5-2. Then, in the top of the ninth, Lyle Overbay would hit an RBI single of his own to make it 6-2. The Braves would tack on one last run in a futile attempt at a rally to lose 6-3.

The Braves had a mediocre month of July, going 13-13. Brian McCann is the star of the lineup, batting .288 with 12 HR and 43 RBI.
