alright, thats cool. I just want some feedback, seeing as most people (friends) don't really care, they say its " too much to read, and that it'll suck". I'm desperate to prove them wrong.

Good news though;I may, have a very,very small chance to get this published.

It was another normal day for the guard. Filled with agony, digust and overall hate. No one was onto his plan yet, and he hoped for it to stay that way. As he looked out through the barbed wire fence, he saw nothing. An occasional gust of wind struck up mass amounts of the loose sand, and made minature sand-storms. " Man! You've gotta be kidding me! If I have to stand out there and shovel anymore of that 'flippin sands in these dust-kickers I'm gonna die!" A thin, dark-skinned man behind him said. A dust-kicker was the nick-name for the gusts of wind which started the sand-storms

He woke up early, and countinued his perilous trek through the sands. In the distance, he saw a few black plants, but nothing of notice. He'd been awake for only a mere 2 hours. He had gotten nearly no sleep, and wanted to just lay down and fall asleep, and to never wake up again.As he was trudging through the wastes, he saw a white flash direcly infront of his face." Hey! Hey you!" He shouted, hoping to get a reply of some from the unknown being.
