I always get stuck in the outfield. I'm a decent CF/LF too. Definitely not RF though.

That couldn't be more wrong.

First off, I'm an outfielder, so I know first hand. Secondly, center is drastically different from the corner outfield positions, more ground to cover, no reference points, etc. Also, right field has a different dynamic than left, if you get a sharp grounder when in right, you've got a chance to throw out the guy at first. In left, you have to back up throws to third from right.

The outfield is usually grouped together, but it shouldn't be, all the positions are different.

I've played Pitcher, 1st, 3rd, LF and RF at some point this year on my school's JV team. I see why people think OF positions are different, and certainly certain skillsets are better at each position (Speed in CF, Arm in RF etc.) But for me, if you're thinking at each position and "Follow the ball" as my coach says, they aren't that different.
