I agree with half of your Green Day picks. Dookie was an amazing album... but American Idiot was essentially of the end of their punk-ish-ness.

And Offspring is awesome.

Also, I still love Mumford and Sons. For me, it's called Neon Trees syndrome. I knew them before they were big, and then Animal went sky-high and... yeah. Not to be hipsterish. xD

I'll edit this post with my favorites.

sjax, every single album you picked was awesome. :D

My favorite albums (in no particular order):

Codes and Keys - Death Cab for Cutie
This was a beautiful album from DCFC. A departure from their guitar-oriented alternative into a venture of piano and great lyrics.
Unobstructed Views

Selected Ambient Works '85-'92 - Aphex Twin
This is a quaint, relaxing album from the usually heavy electronica artist Aphex Twin. His early stuff was all like this.
Xtal

Discovery - Daft Punk
As many of you already know, I am a huge Daft Punk fan. This is the album that really got me into them. Very diverse and whatnot.
Superheroes

Sigh No More - Mumford & Sons
I love this album. This is some great, heartfelt folk. Nothing more to say about it, really.
Winter Winds

Morning View - Incubus
Another diverse album, had everything from relaxing music with Chinese pan flutes to heavy hitting rockers.
11 am

Make Yourself - Incubus
Hey look! Another Incubus album! This was the precursor to Morning View, the last album where Incubus went all-out funk rock on us.
Nowhere Fast

One Hot Minute - Red Hot Chili Peppers
My favorite Chili Peppers album. Straight up funk rock, in my opinion. Great stuff.
Transcending

Vs. - Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam's sophomore album is a GRRRREAT one. Heavy, great rock. Yeah.

Well, yeah. I'm... me. :P

Actually, I was a little surprised that I didn't have any really indie bands making the list. Maybe in a few weeks or something a group like Andrew Jackson Jihad or Born Ruffians will be in there.

And just last night I realized how fantastic Broken Bells' first album was as a whole...

But anyways. Glad you approve.

Green Daydid get a lot less punk after American Idiot. 21st century breakdown was a dissapointment. Forgot to put Nimrod up there.

I didn't even look at that, I'll check it out now.

Wow, that's really, really good! Do they have an album out?

Yeah, they've got two on iTunes, called Two Short Stories and The Farmer and the Nomad. They're pretty obscure, and that was the only video of them I could find.

I've gotta look into that.

In other news, I ordered a CD from Amazon that's expected to be here tomorrow. The album is The Fashion by The Fashion. Here's a sample:
Solo Impala (Take the Money and Run) - The Fashion

One Hot Minute is your fave RHCp album too? *high-fives*

Also, my fave Death Cab song is Crooked Teeth. Second is likely You Are A Tourist, and third is the full, 8:31 version of I Will Possess Your Heart. I love that instrumental in the beginning... Just my opinion. xD

'Course, I need to listen to a lot of their non-singles...

Classic 90's song:

Do not ask me how that song is so good (Marcy playground - Sex And Candy), it's just... good.

And from the same year:

I like some Green Day, a few songs from Dookie and some from American Idiot. I'm a pretty big Switchfoot fan.
