I kinda forgot what was happening, but I think this is along the storyline. I'll get the actual game update later today or tomorrow.

I practiced my fastball, and really improved. I then went home to rest, as I would be pitching in relief of Josh in the game tomorrow.

I woke up, and headed over to the ballpark after lunch. It was gameday! I played catch with Sheldon for a little bit, but then had to go warm up with a catcher, and practice pitching.

It was the 5th inning, and we were ahead 1-0. Josh was in trouble, with a runner on second, and no outs. The next batter ripped a double to make it 1-1. One of the other freshman came running out, and said coach wants me to start warming up. I watched the game a little in between pitches, and saw a home run hit. I though that would only make it 3-1, but they had apparently scored another run when I wasn't watching, and it was 4-1, with one out. Josh walked a guy then, to put a runner on first. That's when I got the call. I trotted out, and got in a few more warm-up pitches. The batter I was facing was the #5 batter, so he was a pretty good hitter.

What should I do?

DECISION TIME!

I painted the corners, mixing up my pitches, and ended up striking out 2 batters to get out of the inning. Jerry hit a 2 run homer in the bottom half, and made it 4-3. I pitched well then, and eventually worked around to the heart of the order in the 7th inning. Their 3rd batter singled, and with only one out, their clean up batter strolled up. I remember coach saying he hammers high pitches, so he doesn't get them a lot. He also has poor contact.

What to do?

DECISION TIME!
Pitch him low, then go for the strike out with a high fastball
Try for the double play
Pitch high and pray his contact is especially low today
Just paint the corners and throw strikes
