Right hook? Left hook? Is this boxing? Yeah, I've thrown people out at first from the outfield too. What year is this?

Back to Disappointment
After one of the most incredible baseball games I have ever seen, the Melonheads return to another loss, going down 3 to 2 against the Blue Monsters. It was a close game, as the Melonheads had a 2-1 lead in the 5th inning, but Kenny Kawaguchi couldn't keep it together as he allowed a couple more runs, one in the 6th and one in the 8th, that allowed the Monsters to come back and win it, tying the leagues's standings up at 9-3. The Melonheads will look to take down the already eliminated All-Stars tomorrow at 4 est.

Stats
Hitting
P. Wheeler - 2-4, 2B, SB
S. Morgan - 0-4, K
P. Sanchez - 1-4, E
K. Phillips - 0-4
Ac. Khan - 0-4, E
Am. Khan - 1-3, 2B, K
T. Delvecchio - 1-3, R
K. Kawaguchi - 1-3, 2B, R
A. Delvecchio - 1-3, RBI(2), E

Pitching
K. Kawaguchi - IP(8), ER(3), K, L
Am. Khan - IP

Points
1st - Pete Wheeler (redsfan) - 4 points
2nd - Tony Delvecchio (lanceberkman) - 2 points
3rd - Kiesha Phillips (Zumikaku) - 0 points
4th - Pablo Sanchez (BrewersFuzz) - -1 point
5th - Achmed Khan (maccrash21) - -2 points

Points (total)
1st - Pablo Sanchez (BrewersFuzz) - 72.7 points
2nd - Pete Wheeler (redsfan) - 70 points
3rd - Tony Delvecchio (lanceberkman) - 59 points
4th - Kiesha Phillips (Zumikaku) - 56 points
5th - Achmed Khan (maccrash21) - 51 points

Brewers: I'm playing the original Backyard Baseball game, released in 1997 in cereal boxes around the country. Yeah, I don't know why them call them right and left hooks, but they're basically sliders, one that goes right, and one that goes left.

I'm loving Tony climbing up the standings there. Keep up the good work!

I'm hating Pablo dropping. :( Tough loss though too.

Lance: Thanks, and yeah, going 7 for 7 with 3 home runs and 8 RBI's in one game will tend to do that. He's tied for the team lead in home runs with Pablo now.

9th Inning Comeback
The Humongous Melonheads took a 1-0 lead in the 3rd. Then, all of a sudden, it was 2-1 All-Stars. Then tied at 2. Angela Delvecchio threw 6 innings and gave up 2 runs, and Pablo came in to relieve. The 7th and 8th innings went smoothly. Then a leadoff double in the 9th, and the All-Stars were in business. 2 batters later, the Melonheads were down. But they weren't going to leave without a fight. Amir Khan came up in the 9th and singled. Tony Delvecchio doubled, bringing him home. Tied up. Kenny Kawaguchi grounded out to 2nd, allowing Tony to advance. And Angela Delvecchio hit a ground ball to first. The throw came home, but it was too late. Tony had scored, and the Melonheads had one 4 to 3, improving their record to 10-3 and clinching a first place finish in the BBL. They will face off against the Blue Monsters tomorrow night.

That's alright, at least he still has me in first. Congrats on 1st place! Is this on PC, and what year is it?

All-City Playoffs, Here We Come!
The Humongous Melonheads played their 14th and final baseball game yesterday, beating the Blue Monsters 15 to 6. Kenny Kawaguchi didn't have the greatest outing of his life, going 7.2 innings and allowing 6 runs, but still got the win as an 11-run 4th inning was the only blow needed for the Melonheads to take home their 11th win of the season. Kiesha Phillips served as on of the Melonheads' main offensive weapons, hitting for the cycle and scoring three times. Over the course of the next week, the Melonheads will take on the Monsters in a three game series to see who gets to advance to the national tournament.

Stats
Hitting
P. Wheeler - 3-6, 2B, HR, RBI(2), R(2), E
S. Morgan - 2-5, R, E

K. Phillips - 4-5, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, R(3)
Ac. Khan - 2-5, RBI(2), R(2)
Am. Khan - 2-5, HR(2), RBI(3), R(2)
T. Delvecchio - 1-5, R, K(2)
K. Kawaguchi - 2-5, 2B, RBI, R, SB
A. Delvecchio - 2-B, 2B, RBI(2), R

Pitching

2nd - Pablo Sanchez (BrewersFuzz) - 13 points
3rd - Pete Wheeler (redsfan) - 9 points
4th - Achmed Khan (maccrash21) - 7.3 points

4th - Achmed Khan (maccrash21) - 67.3 points

That's fine. Pablo is gonna be known as Pablo 'Secret Weapon' "Clutch" Sanchez after these playoffs.

Nice. These double-points had better help me out of last place.
