That's alright. Just throw a couple water coolers and shake it off.

How about that. Reed Johnson gets hit by pitch and the winning run gets walked in! You don't see that very often.

They pinch hit Johnson for Edmonds, who had just hit the game tying home run in the 9th. Kind of strange.

Also, what was Atlanta thinking intentionally walking Fukudome?
They must not know about Soto! :D

Well, Soto's been slumping as of late and Fukudome hit an early 3-run homer. It's not hard to choose who you'd like to go up against is it?

I totally understand the strategy. I was kind of just giving a shout out to Soto. (soon to be NL All Star starting catcher) :D

It's not to uncommon for Reed to get hit, happened ALOT with the Jays. How has he been for the Cubs?

He's been doing pretty good, he's done better than our other center fielders(pie, edmonds)...but Edmonds is starting to get it together now.

But what is up with the Braves. They have lost their last 6 games. I haven't watch the games except for the ones on Fox but it seems like they need to use some of their younger pitchers and get rid of the older pitchers.

I don't know mate. I'd wish you could luck, but I'm a fan of the Mets (yanks first of course). I'm very torn and pissed about Monday-Wednesday. Their are four (doubleheader) games involved and while I want the Yanks to win the series, I can't bring myself to want them to sweep. I like Randolph a lot and so do most of the more clear-thinking, calm Met fans I know. A sweep could put his job in even more jeprady. Some close games would be nice.

tsk, tsk. What was up with the start of the 08 season for Detroit? I dunno personally, but I think part of it was Leyland switching Cabarera and Guillen to opposite bases, (3rd-1st to 1st-3rd). Granderson's injury was nothing, despite the bad hitting streak we had in the beginning, our best hitters are coming back and making up for it. Maggs has a Silver Slugger title to defend, look out everyone!

as we put the icing on the cake on San Fran, we head into San Diego with a sense of .500 returning to us before the all star break in mid-July. I think we're ready for not only that, but also for the 2nd half of the 2008 season. (THANK god, Yankees are outta the way). But all aside, a little more cleaning up for our pitching staff and the AL Central will have something to fear again (Sox and Roy-Roys aside).

Vote Pudge Rodriguez for the 2008 AL CATCHER! it's possibly his last year with us, and I want him to go out with a BANG.

34-38, I don't think we're doing to bad, we were horrible at first I admit. But in the end, we realized we needed to do something and now we're on the swift road to recovery! God bless Detroit! and God Bless the Tigers!

Cubs lose 3 in a row and get swept by the Rays. :x

Luckily, Ramirez put us back in a good mood with a Walk-off homer against the White Sox. Woohoo!!!

Ouch just missed the sweep come on reds we are doing this all wrong
we cant have 3 such similar guys in succsession like that Volquez-Cueto-Thompson just doesn't work the other team is adjusting to easily this is how it should lay out

1.Volquez sure hes a rookie but hes got the stuff
2.Harang maybe he is great but Volquez diserves top spot
3.Cueto I think Arroyo is better suited but just read on
4.Arroyo more of a #3 guy but we are trying to phsyche out the opponent and make it hard to adjust
5.Thompson got the win in his major leauge debut got out of trouble shut out the yankees hes got potential

This is the part of the post where I laugh at everyone's predictions in the first page of this topic.

Anyway, how 'bout the Sox!

Hey just a thought I kinda think that Volquez is gonna get rookie of the year i know that we arent at the allstar break but hes already in double digit wins who else is that good in the national league sure bruce is a great player and all but still he didn't get a single hit in the first 2 games of the yankee series and only 1 hit in the second game going 1 for 12 thats just my opinon though
