For me it was probably just Baseball on the NES, where you only had a few teams to choose from and your whole team moved in the same direction. That game was pretty unforgiving.

After that was probably the SNES game, can't remember the title, where you had super powers like jumping 100ft in the air and throwing super windy screwball pitches. That game was soooooo cheap though.

The first real sim baseball game I loved though was MLB 2000 for the PSX, I played 98 and 99, but 2000 was probably the first time I really got into the sim side of a baseball game. Nothing was more rewarding than drafting unknown guys at the time that had exceptional stats and super small salaries in the fantasy draft; Mark Kotsay could be gotten in the dead last round for minimum payroll and had 90s for speed, arm strength, and a few other stats, they really thought he was gonna be a 5 tool player back in the day! I could go on for days about that game, but it's with good reason.

Mine would be Backyard Baseball 2001 for PC. I played that until my neck hurt.

2020 Super Baseball. I really liked the whole uniqueness of the gameplay and the advanced team management. SNK really threw in a ton of stuff for an arcade game.

Not a typo. It is like the NEO GEO Baseball Stars arcade game but futuristic. Kinda cool.

Geez, this was such a long time ago. I can't remember whether it was the original Backward Baseball or Ken Griffey Jr.'s Major League Baseball back around 10-11 years ago. (My brother had the SNES version and I had the Gameboy port) I loved Backyard Baseball, but I don't really recall playing MLB much. It didn't help that I didn't know any of the players in the Gameboy version, and in the SNES one the only licensed player was Ken Griffey Jr. ;>>

My first power pros game was a long ways back too. I imported the ol' Power Pro Kun Pocket 3 back in December of 2001, I was so awful at it and I had almost no idea what I was doing because all I had to go by was a little FAQ. I remember I made a fielder with F power and D's and other stats with A contact and thought he was like a godsend. Along with my guy with 5 breaking balls or the pitcher only a level 7 changeup, who both of course had like 79 MPH fastballs and like E-F in stamina. Still, I had fun doing it.

I don't know what it was called, but I remember it was on PS1.

Man, I have no idea. I'm sure it must have been one of those NES baseball games, like just... Baseball, or RBI Baseball... I dunno, really.

I do know that out of all baseball video games in my childhood, I probably spent the most time with Extra Innings. MLB Power Pros reminds me of that game so much. I love it.

my 1st baseball game was All-Star Baseball 99 for N64. Andre Gallarraga was broken in that game.

I think it was called either 'Baseball' or 'Homerun Derby'. It was for the coleco vision.

The first one I really played to death was Baseball Stars. (still an amazing game)

I still play Backyard Baseball 2001. Me and my cousins used to try to break each other's all-time records.
