So Youk moves to Third now huh? This is exciting. Both the REd Sox and the Braves (my two favorite teams) are making moves. I'm looking forward to baseball, basketball just isn't the same.

Just great. He'll be a DH there anyway, since Konerko is at 1B, and the OF's stacked. So why sign him to play DH when he doesn't want to?

If the Tigers only get 1 player this offseason, I swear I'll give a piece of my mind to Illitch and Dombrowski.

The Cardinals got Lance Berkman.

I don't like this. The Cards would have to put Berkman in the outfield now, where he hasn't played in 6 years. And his speed has deteriorated during that span, so he likely will be a bad fit in the outfield. I think they should have just spent the extra money and go for Werth instead.

I will never forgive the Red Sox for this. apparently the Gonzalez deal is NOT going to happen. Theo is an idiot ...
There's still a chance of it happening but I HIGHLY doubt it will happen

Double Whammy!

Looks like Jayson Werth signed a 7 Year/126 Million deal with the Nationals. Adrian Gonzalez is likely going to join the Red Sox, but without the extension. I'll be assuming the Red Sox will pursue Carl Crawford against the Angels now. All the big sluggers are almost off the market.

interesting choice by Werth :| but to tell you the truth I didn't care THAT much for him

God even if they can just get Gonzalez I'd be happy at this point, even without the contract extension(I'd hope they'd give him the monster deal after)

The Berkman signing seems to be a backup plan in case the Cardinals can't keep Pujols.

The Werth signing completely baffles me, why would he want to go to the Nationals of all places. He's still one of my favorite players

UPDATE:
Red Sox acquire Carl Crawford for the next 7 years and $140 million....gonna
be hearing about this for a while here in Tampa on the radio probably. Hard to
believe he went to the Red Sox.
To be honest, it would have been nice to see the Rays keep Pena and Crawford and some
of their bullpen. Even though there are still some pieces left to their core, the Rays
aren't going to feel the same.

Well, that's what Desmond Jennings is for. The sting of losing Crawford to a division rival will never fade, but Jennings will become a fan favorite in short order.

In related news, the Yankees can (and will) officially outbid every team for Cliff Lee . . . and perhaps even Zach Greinke.
